Darvish has a “stress reaction” in his elbow. Pre cursor to a fracture. Ligament is fine. Theo says it’s a tough one to diagnosis. Alec Mills had it last year. Took time to diagnose then.

Well that's good.... I think? I mean seems like if you have a fracture that shit is gonna keep you out the rest of the year but least he didn't blow out his UCL again.

I assumed it was the UCL again. This is better news. Glad they're shutting him down.

I’m pretty sure that they pull Hamels option also.

Hamels, Darvish, Lester, Hendricks, Q. Ya know pretty sad when your worst is TOR...when on

Hamels finishes strong, they definitely bring him back...

I still think one of Hendricks or Quintana gets traded...

I still think cubs will look to trade for a SP off waivers...

Think they need another arm that will do 2 things..

Allow them to slowly bring Monty back out of pen, and have him ready for October ..

Gives them another choice for a 4th starter if Quintana continues to struggle some..
What they were probably hoping for with Darvish...

Wouldn't count on it. First of all, the cubs are hardly the only team who needs pitching. Secondly MIL is ahead of the cubs in waiver priority and they need pitching.

I said Zimmerman would be a maybe. Yu’s recovery is 6 weeks so it makes little sense to go into next year with control. But after today you would think that he might have something in the tank still

IDK why. they literally don't have room for all the infielders they have. I mean i suppose you could argue to block and just not offer to trade but there's a chance they just dump murphy on you.

All what infielders?

Youre not putting your money on Bote and LaStella to start in the playoffs ..

Russell hot garbage offensively

They showed Bryant taking BP today and he changed his swing so he can endure the pain in his shoulder..
So he a question mark

Now youre left with Rizzo Baez and Zobrist

They need a guy like Murphy who a veteran, and a very good clutch hitter to help them in October

? what are you talking about? You said you thought the cubs would go after pitching on waivers. I said other teams also need pitching and have higher waiver priority. You said the same could apply to Murphy. The Brewers have a crap load of infielders right now having traded for moose and Schoop. In other words, they weren't going to block murphy on waivers.

Ok..lol
I thought you were referring to the cubs about the infielders..

Never mind

But
My statement was that people thought some teams would claim/block Murphy before it got to the Cubs
