his cap hit would be $17m. Still not a good deal.
If i knew he could stay healthy for the year then i definitely think that would be a good deal for M.Williams. But asking for him to stay healthy is a big ask that he probably wouldn't be able to meet.

i really wish Jujuan Jennings wasnt a RFA

what is the compensation for signing him? isnt it dependent upon how much he signs for?

No compensation. The team just gets a chance to match, like with Ryan Bates a couple years ago.

The risk is in time-cost, because they give the other team like four days to match. So you probably risk losing out on other options while waiting.

It's pretty unusual to offer RFAs these days.

hes worth it IMO

dude is a complete WR that does all the little things well. he would make an excellent WR3 behind DJ Moore and whichever WR they draft high

He always seems to make a play. I’m a little leery because of the coverage he draws.

When he’s out there in 11, he’s the fifth coverage consideration after Deebo, Aiyuk, CMC, and Kittle. I’d love to see some stats on the kind of coverage he typically draws. If any of those top four guys are doubled, it is even more favorable for Jennings.

For sure, but ideally he’s behind DJ Moore, Kmet, rookie WR, and maybe Brock Bowers if we draft him

Not niners level of talent still, but we aren’t expecting him to be a top 3 target either

I don't think many guys get tagged. Names I've heard that will get tagged (outside of JJ):
  • Christian Wilkins
  • Justin Madubuike
  • Antoine Winfield Jr.
  • Brian Burns
  • Josh Allen
  • Tee Higgins
  • L'Jarius Sneed
  • Michael Pittman
Wonder how many guys return to their teams with this significant cap increase being made official.

Thanks, hope that didn't cause you much work. But interesting. A little surprised to see Tyrod Taylor 3rd, although a distant 3rd. No Sam Darnold?

Also surprised Flacco so low.
Not that I would want them but Mayfield and Minshew are probably the best of that bunch.
Flacco is an age thing and w/o an OL he is toast.

I'm a no on trading for Mike Williams but for the right price he would be a great addition to play opposite DJ Moore. If he could stay healthy that is.

...not sure Bears trade for that

he'll be 30 and coming off an injury

Most of those guys were getting tagged or extended no matter what the cap was.

Miami is still in a bad spot, even with cutting Howard and Ogbah today.

Madubuike, Burns, Higgins, and Pittman were all no brainers no matter what happened with the cap.

Aren't we looking at a TE?

Gotta think Noah Fant will be a dude here. He stayed in a lot to block and can catch too - him and Kmet can help solidify the OL for whoever our QB is.

Poles has also said multiple times how much he really liked Mooney. I wonder if they consider bringing him back with a new QB?
Get Nebors at 9. Keep Mooney. And with DJ and a smart QB you have a dynamic passing attack.
