I don't listen to techno so that reference is lost on me. And yes he didn't hire Fox but he could have fired him last offseason. Akiem Hicks isn't a pass rusher, idiot.

He only leads the team and is probably Too Five or Ten amongst interior defensive lineman in the NFL in sacks. So who is the idiot now, genius?

That's correct. The last Collective Bargaining Agreement started the rookie contract limits. Rap was referring to Dalton's contract and how bad it is now.

Someone pointed that out and then I understood the wording.

Saw a tweet today where someone was bitten by a snake while on vacation in Thailand. Snake must've really been stressed and in need of that vacation.

.@RapSheet told 670 The Score that he expects #Bears GM Ryan Pace to get a contract extension to match the new coach's deal.

Since he is dealing with the idiots Teddy and George, Pace will give the new HC a lifetime contract to which the idiot crew (or is it the idiot 2) will give Pace a lifetime contract to match.

If this is true, which it very well may be, this is much less of an confirmation of the Teams happiness with Pace and his deplorable record. It's clearly a measured move to open up the HC candidate pool.

Any worthwhile HC would pass on the position purely because he'd want to avoid a potential lame duck GM situation.

Why wouldn’t they just fire him and his “deplorable” record?

They should.

But that's not what we're discussing. we're discussing why the Bears may give him an extension.

Your rationale doesn’t make sense. If ownership believes he has a deplorable record they would fire him and let the new GM pick his coach. They’re not going to extend someone they don’t believe is doing a good job to expand the coaching pool and then let the person they don’t believe in hire the next HC.

And everyone wants to work for the Browns where you might get a year or two to take the blame for all the previous years.

and like i said, this is exactly why pace went along with the fox hire... it earned him an extension.

They didn't fire him because they knew the coach was their fault. Also, a new GM comes in and "McDaniel's" Trubs and Howard because they don't fit his system?

My "rational"?

My rational is he's got the worst record for a GM in the history of the team over 3 seasons. And it's not really a rational, it's a fact.

The team probably doesn't want to hit the reset button completely again, just 3 years later.

So they'll blow smoke up our ass, have their minions in the media out there making fake news about how Fox wasn't his fault, and let him hire another coach.

Can't wait to read the letter they send me this year. I've kept the last 5. All talk about how much better they think we'll be....

i suppose if you like smoke up your ass, enjoy. I prefer to win...

Apparently the letter works on you. You keep buying their product. That's what the letter intends on doing.
