You know, I like movies for different reasons than a lot of people. I found it interesting and I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. They made it seem like he made the whole attack up and I was waiting for the conclusion to prove this. I thought that ship at the end was cool.

I admit, I like a lot of movies that get panned by critics. And I find oscar winning movies to be boring. I thought The Revenant should have won best picture. Never saw Spotlight but thought it would be boring. The only Oscar winning movie that I truly liked was Slumdog Millionaire. I think that was the best movie made in the last 10 years.

The Revenant was real good I thought.

With this movie though, I don't know why anyone would be on the edge of their seat. Howie was weird, yeah, but never seemed like he wanted to kill the heroin as much as control her. A lot of things were just silly and campy. Much of it was repetitive and just them sitting around with nothing, other than a slight mistrust for fat Dan Connor, to keep you even a little on edge. Guess the biggest thing would have been wondering what was going on outside for the hour and 30 minutes the movie just kept dragging on and on. But even Emmit really gave that away early on. When he said what he said you just got the feeling that was pretty much exactly what it would be cause there was no intelligent conversation going on. Everything being said was just to develop the characters and foreshadow what was to come in the short and downright silly climax.

Just felt like the main concern with this movie was to promote it heavily and disregard the weak script.

Stop. The movie was only made because of the script and it's standalone strength. The Cloverfield aspect was added AFTER.

Wrong again. The script was pathetic. In fact taken from the trash.

Looking on rotten tomatoes I wAs looking at all the positive reviews and the very few negative reviews. It became apparent all those lauding this POS didn't even know what they were watching.

I rarely go to theater. I'm usually looking for a reason to wait. Spartan provided one.

I have to agree with Spartan on this one, after the start reels you in a little, the middle drags on with a bit of interesting little tidbits here and there. The end is entertaining mostly because you're happy the plot has gotten more interesting. I give it a 7.5 out of 10.

7.5/10 doesn't equate to a shit movie like Spartan said it was.

You like Zack Snyder, enough said.
Stop acting like such a butt hurt ***** just cause I didn't like this way overrated piece of crap movie. There's several recent movies I'm more than happy to pay to go see. With 10 Cloverfield Lane, I'd pay twice as much to have someone go in my place cause I couldn't possibly sit through that stupid trash again. As boring as the overwhelming majority of the first hour and a half was, the beyond stupid ending turned killed it altogether. I'd rather watch a baseball game or even a soccer game than ever watch that movie again.

Whatever Spartan rates it at, I don't know. I know it shouldn't be ranked anything more than mediocre IMHO.
On a scale of 1-5, I'd give it a 1. I was really expecting it to be good. The first 15 minutes I was thinking this could pick up any time now. Then it got repetitive and seemed to go nowhere. For me, the characters weren't likable nor was there anything suspenseful or clever. Also became predictable and I knew what to expect in the end based on what was said early on. Just didn't realize it would be as silly and foolish as it was.

I'm not surprised others here liked it cause it has a very high rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I'm just left to wonder if most of these people praising it feel obligated to for some reason. I had to look for some of the comments that gave it very bad reviews just to make sure there were some people who saw the same thing I did.

Has anyone been to a movie in 4DX? I didn't it at all. The chair rocks back and forth like you are in a car accident. And then they have scented spray that is basically dust being spewed all over you.

Revenant, meh/10. Not a bad movie, but not a great one either. Not a whole lot better than the original Man in the Wilderness with Richard Harris. Nice cinematography, but I won't remember Revenant for long.

DiCaprio is turning into Mel Gibson.

The CGI was egregious.

10 Cloverfield Lane

8 out of 10

John Goodman was great. I thought it had some good suspense. It was never suppose to be a sequel to Cloverfield or anything. They are suppose to be in different universes.
