I heard that Ray Allen turned down a much bigger offer from the Celtics.

I guess he sold out and bought himself another championship ring.

I loved Ray Allen, but......but now........now..........now he's a Heatle.

In the 1980's, there were only 2 teams that had a chance to win a title...everybody had to wait until they got old/injured before making a move. There were other teams who might slip into the Finals...or might even win like Philly did...but it was the same 2 teams for a decade.

In the 1990's, there was Jordan...then everybody else. To say there are 3 or 4 teams that can beat Miami is a damn good thing. The NBA doesn't suck...it is getting better.

What about the Pistons?
They won 2 in a row and had a very good chance in 88 too....Isiah Thomas was amazing.
Did they not count?

So that makes 4 teams from the decade of 1980 to 1990.

Ray Allen accepted less money for a chance to get another ring.
I honestly can't truely knock him for that, because he payed his dues in the NBA.

I do however would of rather he stayed in Boston.
The Celtics with Allen back next year would of still been a contender.
Plus, He could of made more money and got a longer contract because The Celtics FO offered it to him......He resisted the Celtic Rebels plea and crossed over to the Dark Side of the force...The old Dark evil jedi Pat Rileys powers were too much for him to sustain.
He used an old Jedi mind trick on master Ray like he did the rest of the Heatles.
And its ashame what the Emperor did to Anakin James.....He ceased to be Anikan James and became Lebron Vader.
He's more machine now than man, twisted and evil.

P.S, who the hell is Kirk Hinrich? :turrible:

This is the type of shit that makes me hate the NBA.

But yeah, the league is getting better.

Man Ray... What the hell you thinking? They're the rivals. I used to love Mr. Shuttlesworth, but now I am going to have to hate him until he retires or finds a different jersey to sport around.

Steve Nash makes the Lakers improve much more than the Heat improve with Ray Allen.

Obviously, the Heat are going to improve but this is more of a regular season move than anything else. The scary thing is that now Miami can cut Wade's minutes and allow him to rest and pace him for the playoffs.

The Lakers match up very well with Miami because of their bigs. I'm not going to call them the favorites just yet but they are close.

Miami is the new Boston and the Lakers are still the Lakers. Now they just need to land Howard and the lockout of other teams competing for a title will be complete.

The league will be two Globetrotters and 28 Washington Generals.

Can't wait.

The Heat have the 2 best players on the court (James, Wade) but the Lakers have the next best 4 in my opinion (Bryant, Bynum, Nash, Gasol). Then I'd go with 2 more Heat players (Bosh, Allen).

Between these 2 teams, they have 8 of the top 40 players in the NBA and 7 of the top 20.

Look who has won titles. Hasn't this been the case most years in the NBA?

But not to this level. Teams are just loading up top players while other teams are left with scraps.

If you want parity, go watch the NFL, where a bullshit 9-7 team can win the superbowl.

Yeah because watching only 3-4 teams be able to compete for a title is soooooo much more fun.
