Wade was never leaving Miami. He can say he was torn all he wants, but he made it clear before the season was over that he was staying in Miami. The 2nd meeting w/ the Bulls was just to distract them.

This has been done before with other athletes. It's just not that funny really. It brings a smirk here & there. It's also Wade in Chicago. I'm kinda wondering how many people that found out if it was him started yellin at him. Just gotta wonder how many of those were cut out. They cut this video making it look like everyone was happy he was there. Talk about smoke-n-mirrors.. :lmao:

I'm not bitter with Wade because I didn't expect him to sign here anyway.

You know i have heard that some people think that wade, bosh, and lebron had already planned to leave and go somewhere together. You know i am not buying into that 100%, but isn't it a little odd that all of them happen to have the same year of free agency. Now i will say i am not a Bulls fan never was, but i really think this team has a serious shot at beating Miami. Especially if Deng can stay healthy. I mean who will they have to play Boozer and Noah at the same time. Then who are they gonna have guard Rose if you put Wade on him they can bring Korver off the bench to do all his sharp shooting and make them think about doing that again. Not only that I see Lebron not liking it, because he is not the center of attention at Miami he is gonna have to share the spotlight with Wade. I see this team falling apart like the 2002 Lakers. And for the people who try to compare them to the big three. I think that is ridiculous comparison those guys only had a few good years left in the tank they had to win one that year or the next or they would have probably not have gotten one.

Still bitter over the summer. **** you Wade!
Can we please get over this idea that Wade somehow spurned the Bulls? He was a free agent, and free agents are allowed to sign with whomever they please. At this point, who really gives a ****?
Most of my bitterness comes from the tampering and recruiting he did.
This tampering meme is worn out. Players can not be charged with tampering, especially a player who was already a free agent. If Wade was acting as an agent for Pat Riley, then I suppose you have a case. However, there is no evidence of that. Just please get over it.

Did you ever think their contracts were structured that way because of the rules the NBA has in place already???

They all ended at the time because after 7yrs in the league they were eligible for a bigger percentage of the salary cap. That and raises are guys like Kobe make more than Bron.

I am over it. I just don't like that group. They are a serious detriment to basketball.

That is a bit overboard don't you think? I mean it was a couple of months ago that you wanted Lebron and Bosh in Chicago. Now, because they didn't choose the Bulls they are a detriment to the league?

If they had gotten together and picked the Bulls or if it came out that Lebron chose Chicago years ago as his destination, I don't think you would claim those players to be detrimental to the league, preseason pep rally and all....

No one should feel regret for Wade or his crew. This was a bs plan that was built years ago. Chicago is a better city, a team has a rich history and a stronger following. Unfortunately those guys would rather party together on beaches and things like that. The NBA needs to do something about the cap and how its affected in Miami though. I dont like everyone taking pay cuts because of the no state taz thing.

They took pay cuts to make sure all three could play together. The fact that there is no state income tax in Florida (which I assume is what you meant in that last sentence) wouldn't factor into how much they signed for.

Two stars in their prime is fairly standard throughout history. 3 top 10 players isn't going to be enjoyable to watch. Their has to be a degree of competitiveness. Thats just my opinion. Its not going to ruin basketball but its going to make it less interesting.

Its not a big tax savings. They pay state taxes on most road games.

Yes they all took pay cuts to play together but because of the no state income tax, it made their decision to take those cuts easier.

I actually think the Miami thing makes the league more interesting. I don't like parity. But why should these guys care about competitiveness? They care about winning, so what is wrong with that?

What would be boring is if some "superstar cap" was put on teams for the sake of competition, that is about as horrible an idea as it sounds. Let the players go where they want as they are legally obliged to do, and let the chips fall where they may. There might be a fallout when Madison Avenue gets involved, but that is just a consequence for their actions...
