I am coming back down to earth... I though Dwight was a pipe dream ... Now I am realizing that K-Mart II, OJ Mayo, Ellis and Iggy are the pipe dreams

I think the reality is Rip, Lee or just Brewer starting

I think even Rip is a pipedream. So reality is that we're probably screwed when it comes to 2 guards.

Hey, who knows? Butler could end up starting and maybe provide 10 ppg and play solid defense. If the Bulls aren't willing to give up a big or two (which I agree they shouldn't), or if they aren't willing to take a risk and go over the luxury tax, Rasual might be the best available option. The way that Sam Smith was talking is that the Bulls won't incorperate any rookie they draft in the 1st round immediately into the rotation, so maybe they draft based on potential. I don't know what they are going to do, but if they can keep Rose long term and are stilling to go into the luxury tax to get better, go for it.

I hope the team keeps Rasual Butler myself. If nothing more to just back up Deng. He can shoot and attack off the dribble some and he is a decent defender.

like i said, i don't think iverson is the answer (anymore) but there is no one on the bulls right now who can play sg from a more effective standpoint than allen iverson.

If we are talking about giving this guy a non-guaranteed/chump change contract, there isn't much reason why they shouldn't sign him if a better option doesn't come up.
no. Stop!

if he gets bought out, Chicago has a great shot at Rip.

He won't be expensive either... He's 33, he's made 86 million in his career and will now be playing for a shot at another ring... so he'll be willing to take less to play on a good team that will need a SG.

Sounds like the Bulls.

But he needs to get bought out.

This is what I'm hoping will happen.

Rip Hamilton isn't very good anymore....

Anybody who thinks Rip is the answer might as well jump on the Iverson train, too.

Who said to only stop at Rip? I just think he woul be a good fit. He can shoot, he'll defend under thibs, he wouldn't cause any problems, he can hit free throws, good mid-range shooter, etc.

I actually think Rip would be a pretty good 6th man if he was open to that roll.

so let me get this straight... you think AI would help us, but Rip wouldn't?

Like I said in my last post... I think Rip would be a great 6th man for us.

I doubt AI could even give us 10 good minutes.

this would be ideal for me:

We're already 3 million under the cap AT HIS POINT. John Lucas, Scal, Kurt Thomas, Butler, Pargo, and Bogans will all likely be gone by this off-season. At that point, we'll be 10 million under the cap. The bulls would then be in great position to make a big trade because they can take in more salary, or they can just make smaller trades including Korver, watson, and hopefully not gibson or asik. That would clear up a little more cap space... We'd then have money to go after a guy like Jason Richardson AND rip [if he gets bought out and settles for less money]. We would have 2 first round picks... we can address back-up PG and maybe another big, or back-up SF.

Our roster would then look like:

Rose- Draft pick
Richardson-Hamilton
Deng-Brewer
Boozer-Gibson
Noah-Asik

That's a long shot, but it's possible.... and I think we would be much better than we were last season.

.....................

:obama: x 1 million.

Read his post again and this time REALLY concentrate.

I'm aware of what he meant/said.

But no one said we wanted rip because he was "the answer."

He was just arguing earlier that AI would help the Bulls but is saying that Rip isn't very good anymore.... [like AI is]. so I was asking him, "you think AI would help but Rip wouldn't?" assuming he doesn't think Rip would help considering the fact that he said he isn't very good anymore.

Actually, you know what... I was talking to RamiTheBullsFan. I replied to HIS post. if HE thinks I misinterpreted what HE said in any way, then HE can tell me what HE meant.

I'm pretty sure he's capable of speaking for himself.

I don't need anyone telling me that I don't get what someone else said. Especially when I'm asking THAT person the question... not anyone else.

Thanks.
