I know everyone is very excited to hear possible rumors that Epstein could take the Cubs General Manager spot but let's take a step back and review the situation

I believe Henry is the man who gave Epstein the GM job when Epstein was only 28 years old. Epstein is very loyal to him. With some failed free agent signings such as Carl Crawford and a horrible pitching staff, Epstein won't leave Boston a mess to clean up. Even though the tug to accept the challenge of making the Cubs the winner is strong, I don't see him leaving Boston yet. One year left on his contract still. if he leaves now he will be torn about by Boston media for bailing after things failed. I think Epstein wants the Cubs job but the time really isn't right. 2 or 3 years down the road, Epstein would be more willing to leave Boston.

  1. Minnesota United FC
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
The hardon this board has for Andrew Friedman is very disturbing. Heart, fire and passion don't win titles.

Epstein has a 42million dollar payroll and Epstein has a 160million dollar payroll. Now which Gm's team is still playing?

Okay. I see. So what you're saying is you made a thread to explain how you feel, despite there being like 5,000 GM threads... and the cherry on top is that there is no actual news. Peachy.

After saying Soriano was a top 10 player regardless of position, CO's credibility is out the window.

No shit. What do they have to do with Friedman? Friedman can construct a team with very little and win with that team. He has a lot of desirable traits

Just because he develops kids with heart, passion, and fire, doesn't mean squat if the cheap team poops the bed when it counts.

Just because you sign kids to 100million dollar contracts dont mean squat if the team blows an eight game lead in September

He did put a World Series caliber team together, too bad the team faltered when it mattered most.
