Let's share some local good eats - sorry to folks out of state.

Name the place, and point scale it.
Town it is located in.
Paste the website or yelp link.
Share the dish you ate and $.
Review the place/food.

Let's only do one restaurant at a time you recently ate in so the thread don't get bombarded.

I had the Tuesday BBQ Rib Night special $25
Yelp described it as a Cajun/Creloe food. The BBQ special I ate comes with ribs and jambalaya - all you can eat. They keep bringing it if you want more. I ended up eating a full rack and 2 servings of jambalaya. I was more excited about the jambalaya before eating, but was shocked at how goof the ribs were - probably one of the best ribs I've ever had (not boiled). My wife had the crawfish ettouffe which I thought was soso. The place was packed even on a Tuesday (maybe because of the BBQ sepcial), so do a reservation if you want to check it out. Had an okay beer menu as well.

Does the jambalaya have shrimp/shellfish?

This is what their description says- Jambalaya A Cajun classic of Andouille and chicken slow simmered with the holy trinity.
The special also came with a little thing of baked beans, and it had bits of peanut brittle in it. I've never had it like that before and it was pretty good.

I had the Denver skillet $8.50 comes with pancakes or toast
This place is bar none the best breakfast place ever. They're know for their ham (look at pics on yelp), so if you go there order something with ham. They give you huge portions for fairly cheap prices. It's not a fancy brunch place. Just good breakfast. If you haven't tried yet you're missing out. They also offer a lunch menu and the sandwiches are good as well and cheap (fries cost extra). Again, order a sandwich that has ham on it. If you don't like ham then this isn't probably the place for you.

Is that in Wilmette, big line outside a lot of the time.

I think you're talking about Walker Bros. Richard Walkers might be a split from the Walker Bros restaurants. I heard the family had a feud and some of the restaurants changed their names... Anyways, I take Mr. A's over Walker Bros any day.

If you mean like Naperville area there's a place called Bien Trucha if you like Mexican food.

I've only been there 3 times, but every time was long ass lines. Killer tacos and great outdoor patio setup.
Other than that I really don't know about west suburbs.

I've never been to Richard Walkers. Are they related to Walker Bros?

There's several around. We used to go to the one in Schaumburg.

Edit: Ooops, I meant to quote Spunky about Wilmette.

All good, homies. Is there still a city called West Chicago? My brothers said its changed dramatically. They said they went to a restaurant there that turned into a mexican joint and zero people working spoke English.

"51.1% of the population was Hispanic or Latino of any race."

I know people that live there, it has much more affordable housing that anywhere else in DuPage County. It's surrounded by much more expensive suburbs like Wheaton and St. Charles.

Anyone know any legit Mexican food in the Bolingbrook area? Preferably with real deal margaritas. Been living here for about 8 months and the food sucks.
