The same family also owns this place in Glen Ellyn.

Less burger centric, they have a different charcuterie board every day and it's always outstanding. All three places make great cocktails.

I'm not sure if these are the kind of places DeepChicago is looking to take his kids, so sorry about that.
No probably not. To add on they also own Barrel and Rye in Geneva. I didn't know they also owned the Burger Joints. That was news to me.

Anyways all four are great places. Well I haven't been to Burger Social yet, but plan to.

'Semiramis' - NW Chicago (Kedzie/Wilson)

(Steps off the Kedzie Brown Line Stop)

Lebanese menu. Excellent vegetarian menu if you are looking for one, but I keep going back because of a hopeless addiction to their Kafta. It is this lamb and beef sausage that is seasoned to perfection. I would eat that with every meal if feasible.

Shawarma to make you wanna give up gyros 4 life and just move next door to this place.

Dinner under 20 per plate and lunch sandwiches for under 10!

8/10 for a rather small menu and loading your dinner plate with rice/cous cous instead of MOAR KAFTA!!!!

All good, homies. Is there still a city called West Chicago? My brothers said its changed dramatically. They said they went to a restaurant there that turned into a mexican joint and zero people working spoke English.

were they speaking polish?

any good polish mexican fusion around? like a bigos Kaszanka taco? or even sum pierogi nachos?

I've only recently gotten into the whole kebab/shawarma stuff and been loving it. I've only been to Pita Inn and Halal Guys though..

Anyone know any legit Mexican food in the Bolingbrook area? Preferably with real deal margaritas. Been living here for about 8 months and the food sucks.

Have you been to Los Burritos Tapitos just south west of Boughton and 53?

Los Burritos Tapatios are a chain or restaurants, I've never been to the place in Bollingbrook, but have eaten at the Glen Ellyn location. It was good, I prefer the hole in the wall Mom & Pop places. The chain looks cleaner, less funky, but I like funk.

If you don't mind going a little out of your way, in Turkey they call Shawarma Doner. Doner wins for bigness.

Sushi Grove 7/10
Buffalo Grove

$21/person all you can eat sushi
Took my father in law to this place over the weekend. If you are a sushi eater/lover or whatever I don't recommend it due to low quality. But if you don't know much about sushi (nigiri, maki, sashimi...) and want to freely experience at a lower cost then this is the place. You can try all sorts of different types of nigiri (raw fish on riceball), maki (rolls), sashimi (sliced raw fish) to see what you like or dislike. It's a cheap option to try and get your feet wet on raw fish. As for the atmosphere there are plenty of tables and just like all buffets lots of fat asses so all you bear fans should feel at home :) And there is a stir-fry table as well if you get sick of raw stuff.

Yes. I live right there. Absolutely one of the worst places I’ve ever been to. Shitty customer service and even worse food. I’ll never go back there and curse that place every time I drive by.

Wow. Sorry your experience was so bad. We've been there three or four times and the only thing I dislike is that they put avacado in the salsa verde.

Try the one called El Burrito Mexicano in Lisle, it's west of 53 by 100 feet on the south side of the street in the middle of a strip mall on Maple Ave. If you don't like that place perhaps you don't like Mexican authentic food and are looking for a more tex/mex environment.

Meson Sabika is in Naperville and for ambiance one of the best places in the Chicago proper or burbs. It serves Spanish tapas. For me it was so-so on food, but service and ambiance was great. I'm also pickier than most on food tastes so take that suggestion from me with that in mind.

After that last one, I'm sure he will keep that in mind.

I'm pretty sure everyone except Brett already knows this, but Mexican food and Spanish tapas are completely different.

Went there over the weekend. Still lines out the door. I'm sure most of you have been here so I won't blab about it, but would like to say that Superdawg is better :p

Where in the city or burbs could i get some good authentic Polish Sausage? The kind of stuff where you put it in your refrigerator and the smell of garlic fills the air in the house? I would get it from an old European deli in a not so nice neighborhood in Milwaukee , but the owner got to old and his kids didn't want to take it over .

We had Chester's on Archer Ave. Fresh Polish. Got it every Easter. Kids did not want to take over the business so they retired and went back to Europe.

We have one place that is close to their recipe

Been here also for AYCE sushi. Pretty much agree with this review, not the best quality for those sushi connoisseurs out there, but if you want a cheaper AYCE option this place is pretty good. Just don't go in expecting amazing high quality sushi and you won't be disappointed.
