No argument there... Chicago Dog has a very specific set of toppings.

However, I've never heard of a person slathering ketchup on a hot dog and irrationally demanding it be acknowledged as a Chicago Dog.

Agreed, but I've heard plenty of people call it a Chicago Dog with Ketchup.

Regardless there is no reason for the ridiculous tribalism over some people putting ketchup on their hot dogs.

You can put ice cream on your hot dog for all I care... people do way stranger things to food and no one bats an eye.

But put ketchup on a hot dog and certain Chicagoans turn into psychos who want to cut your head off and post it to the internet.

The restaurants don't have to put the ketchup on the dog themselves even if asked to since it's sort of the Chicago hotdog stand culture.
BUT they should still have some if the customer wants it for their french fries.
I bet them assholes have ketchup at home.

Depends on what you're eating, but that's a generally true statement actually. Lot of carb based foods so they seem to dissipate quickly

Korean food though does not seem to have this problem
