Weems. Allen very well may, and I'm on record agreeing with that, but that doesn't mean he isn't past his prime.
LOL Weems is a good player. Cut it out.

Not his fault the ST unit is fucking horrid under Joe D.

Have any returners made it past the twenty?

Interesting, isn't it? Could be blocking..

Eh no.... Weems is not very good.... he has lowered the bar on our return game to "If you can manage to not trip over your own feet and not subsequently fumble, you will do just fine". I do agree we don't have much better at returner, but Weems did and does suck, I had hoped he would be better.

Perhaps Joe D ran on the field, forced weems to run into his own blocker and fumble too.

Trying to make shit sandwiches outta shit with our depth and zero special teams aces is a tall order for any coordinator.

Actually Allen's stats for the first games of a season in his career are pretty bad.

I can't name one person in this thread that was on the C. Williams bandwagon but go ahead and keep up that false Narrative.

Weems had exactly ONE good year as a ruturn man. Use a bit of logic here, ( presently speaking) do you really think the bears let go a probowl elite caliber return man? That's laughable if so. I know you really get caught up on past accolade's. As far as D.J Williams is concerned. He won't be on this team next year because he's 16 million years removed from a quality season.

He's here now outta necessity and thats it.

Not even 1 poster.... couldn't name 1 poster who felt Chris Williams was our answer at returner yet the board's general sentiment to Despbro said Chris Williams was some kind of hero.... interesting how other people perceive reality I guess.

This play has to go down as one of Allen's best plays of his career imo. Not only did he force the fumble on Kaperdick, but if you watch it again and keep your eyes on Allen the whole time, his first move is inside and he lays out the would-be ball carrier, then gets back up and chases down Kapernick for the tackle and of course the FF.

Oh and btw- remember when we signed him and all everyone kept saying was that he couldn't stop the run... :X:X:X

Yes,that was a nice play. So should we now ignore the multiple missed contains in week 1? And, he basically for the most part is not good at stopping the run. And, as for that being the best play of his career, :lmao:

DUde..

He sat the whole friggin preseason. That's a month of literally no playing time. That's a lot of months off and going LIVE against an opponent. Not training camp.

He's just getting his feet wet.

J Allen was biggest offseason signing. Period.

So far he's getting schooled by Young. Just because you have a man crush on his past, does not mean you can't open your eyes to the present, and since when did veterans like Allen need a full pre-season to get ready?
