Pretty easy to do in the studio.

Gosh you are a complete idiot.

And Richards liked Page. A lot. He considered him the most overworked guitarist in rock because he played lead and rhythm live, and tried to convince him to get a rhythm player.
Stupid, Taylor was legendary for being a one take artist

On this one the the whole band stopped at 4:40 but Taylor just kept going then the rest jumped back in . The final version starting at 4:40 was ONE TAKE....idiot

THE GREAT MICK TAYLOR!!!!!!

What nimrod doesn't mention is that both Eddie and Page played both rhythm and lead guitar, without another guitarist. And they were both quite good at rhythm guitar.

Big difference, especially live.

This is true. A lot more involved then playing just one or he other.

Omelet has a lot of strong opinions about things he never did, like playing guitar, working in tech, or doing military service

He also doesn't realize that electricians and other blue collar jobs make far more money to be able to not buy houses in Elgin.

What an absolute moron, who has never even held a guitar, let alone played one. You can only spout other people's words, and slap yourself on the back that you like what critics like.

You are a clueless dimwit.

It's even better because those same critics never put Taylor over either Page or Eddie.

Also Carlos Santana >>>>>>Mick Taylor @Omeletpants

Or going to college.

Never appreciated Van Halen very much but there is no denying his virtuosity.

I was never a massive van halen fan, but back in my guitar playing days I respected the shit out of eddie. (was more of a metalhead)

On the guitar god totem pole, noting the leaps forward, Hendricks gave birth to eddie who then gave birth to the fork leading to Vai and Satriani.

Satriani spawned from Eddies structured side and Vai spawned from Eddies irreverent side.

In his time, he was the man. Nobody in the early 80's held a candle to him.
With all due respect to Mr. Van Halen, the taken far too young Randy Rhoads was more than capable of holding his own in the 80's.

The first "classical" song i learned was "dee" by randy. Loved his playing.

Ozzy had a way with finding the right guitar players.

You can play Dee all the way through? That's a good challenge.

Honestly, it sounds impressive but it is quite simplistic.
Up and down the neck, some simplistic hammer on and pull offs, a couple of the easiest harmonics in the world.

If you play at all i guarantee you can pick it up in an afternoon no sweat.
That is part of the beauty of it- simple but elegant.
