So anytime a defender lunges at the ball as it's being pulled in by the receiver, he should always knock it out of the receivers grasp? You are being obtuse.
He didn't merely lunge at the ball. He had a firm hand on Cohen and is bigger and stronger than he is. I would maybe expect ARob to be able to break free but not necessarily a small WR like Cohen.
Justin Simmons is not only 6-2 and 202 pounds. He is also explosive as judged by his Vertical and Broad Jump which were both better than Cohen's and he is also stronger as judged by his reps of 225 which again were more than Cohen's. Cohen has more speed but that was neutralized when the ball was underthrown.
So based on those factors it is pretty obvious to anyone with common sense that Simmons is going to win that battle a higher percentage of times than Cohen if Simmons is allowed to get his hands on Cohen which again was only possible because of the underthrow.
You guys are simply meatballing saying he has to make that catch but not offering any logic as to why beyond because you said so. There isn't a single variable in that specific situation that works in Cohen's favor.
Average separation doesn't tell the whole story. Hill is used as a deep threat way more often than Gabriel is. Unfortunately, we use Gabriel as a check down more often than not which is always going to yield more separation as the defenses are content with giving up yards short of the first down.
The poster claimed Hill is more open. This is objectively false based on the data. I am not going to get into who is used more often in checkdowns unless you have data because that doesn't mean Hill is more open. It just explains why Gabs is objectively speaking more open.
Again you guys just seem to say shit you can't support with data and others are suppose to just accept it. All to avoid the reality staring you in the face that the QB is huge problem right now.
