Honestly, the pressure has been there for at least 15-20 years now. I can't tell you how many times as a life-long fan that I've heard, "oh man, there's no way they're keeping their name." Point being: it's nothing new and the fever pitch has always been about the same. Not saying it won't ever happen, just stating the obvious.

It would be the easiest change. They don’t have to change the name just the logo into a black colored hawk

Short story;

Back in my bartending days one day the bar manager got a shit load of Cabo Wabo. Maybe 20 cases and I’m being light.

Mangers like “push Rita’s upgrade to Cabo”.

I didn’t know the guy was related somehow to Hagar. He never brought it up.

Cabo was actually very good at the time. Manager pocketed every Cabo sale, made so much money he put a down payment on a Charger. Went thru a midlife crisis, drunk drove the charger into a bus and got caught banging a 17 year old hostess while his wife was carrying twins.

Still not as bad as what Rocky did.

Well if Mike North was there….

No offense, I would have killed to be at that one.

I seriously will always respect Peter Wirtz after that...that guy sat and took the decades of built up frustration of the attendees, and was respectful and courteous to the people who were absolutely ripping into his dad. He knew he was going out there to be a punching bag for his family, because he had zero power to change policies like untelevised home games, but he did it anyway.

I remember when Hagar released Cabo Wabo, and I thought it was just another celebrity promo cash grab...had an opportunity to try it and was mightily impressed...it remains among the best tequilas I've had.
