According to Wiederer in his Tribune article yesterday, Odunze was the number one receiver on the Bears’ draft board and the number two overall prospect.
sounds like the bears got their top 2 prospects from their big board(CW and Rome)

Deion Branch, Julian Edelman, Troy Brown.

...I don't know about that.

The Bears got Alshon Jeffrey and Curtis Conway.

Now do the last decade.

BB ran that franchise into the ground by his terrible scouting/drafting

I can see why and it was a pick 'em for the top 3 WRs. All top 5 worthy picks in any draft. Getting any one of those at 9 was huge win with Odunze easily having the best attitude/personality of that lot. For a position that is often dominated by Pre Madonnas, the Bear have got 3 very talented starters that seem to not need bravado to perform.

So you actually believe Ryan Poles and Ian Cunningham's success at drafting and developing WR's is somehow negatively influenced by some mystical franchise curse?
The McCaskeys are that "mystical force" that keeps hiring bad GMs and coaches.

Imagine responding to felon in good faith lmfao
He paid his debt to society. I'd rather you mock him for what he is at the present instead of what he was in the past.

Sorry to be a stick in the mud, but it seems like this is the most common way to go after that poster. He gives you a ton of other material to work with, that you one can afford to bring up his criminal past sparingly.

His retardation about football has already been beaten to death.

This is a football message board. You're telling me that you're tired of talking about how Black Rainbow doesn't know shit about football, hardly watches football, and likely never played football, on a football message board?

Yeah the prison thing is way funnier. BTW, this was information HE HIMSELF volunteered unsolicited.

I'm sorry but the prison thing isn't funnier than a dumb person having dumb takes about a sport that he hardly watches. We can have differences in what is and isn't tasteful, but it is objectively far far funnier that he is so often setting himself up with dumb remarks. It's like seeing someone kick themselves in the nuts - how does that get tiresome?

It's fine that he volunteered his past conviction - it is a social problem that people who paid their debt to society have a difficult time reintegrating. The rest I have to say on that subject is political in nature and not for this thread.

You’re an excellent poster and I appreciate your kindness but Black Rainbow is a jackass and a convicted felon. Plus, he demonstrated numerous times that he’s clueless.

Anything is fair game with him. Quite frankly, I think he enjoys the abuse.

He has one thing going for him, he’s not as dumb and obnoxious as the fake Lions fan/fish violator.

Every regime is different. Ryan Poles and Ian Cunningham have nothing to do with the past.

The current coaching staff wasn’t here in the past.

That might be one of the dumbest arguments you could make.

If that's the case why do the Bears have the same issues being taught through many coaching staffs?
From WRs who can't get open to defenders who can't pressure WRs?
Coaches/GMs can come in saying the right things and then go right back to doing what all the others did.

I will say Poles is not only saying the right things but acting on most of what he says eventually.

I am pretty sure that there's a lot of micromanaging being done by the McCaskeys. It's the only answer. That is why we can go for 40 years doing the wrong things through many different regimes. Hopefully Poles is willing to say that's not how you build a winning team when someone from the McCaskey crew suggests to not pay for WR talent put a DB who can't play DB in the spot as your #1 WR.

What type of micromanaging do you think George is utilizing? Do you think he’s giving the coaching staff notes? Is he suggesting route concepts. Maybe he’s trying to influence training techniques.

The premise is pretty silly. Certainly there are owners that are hands on like Jones and Tepper.

I don’t put George even close to those guys.

I'm just going to have to thank you for the compliment, get off my high horse, and move on. I felt the need to state my opinion on that specific matter. I'm not here to defend that poster, I am here to talk Bears football.

By the way, how excited are you for Odunze? As if I couldn't be excited enough on draft day, @Adipost made such a good breakdown that I'm twice as excited.
