With the acquisition of Allen, the drafting of Odunze, and having DJ and Kmet this should be a much more pass heavy offense then years past. It might not be 60% like Seattle was, though I think that would be more than acceptable with the weapons and QB. And lets be honest, who the hell wants a balanced offense? We have seen this 50/50 crap for too many years and to be fair we had few decent weapons to pass. We have them now, this isn’t San Fran who has McCaffrey. It’s a passing league, the rules are more geared towards a passing offense, let this kid loose from the start. F*** it!
Bro we got Swift now though and he's a homerun hitter if he has blocking

I never said don’t run, just make it more of a passing offense with all of these weapons and a creative young QB with a cannon and a brain. Swift is one of those weapons in the passing game as well. 56ish % passing, 44% running sound okay? Lots of play action, get both going. I just don’t want to see loads of those bubble screens or 3 yard passes on third and 8 after running up the middle on first and second down. That crap is trademark Bears football no matter who is the friggin coach.

For those that choose to listen Poles is always very forthcoming.

Correct.

Look at this list…Other than KC who has the future GOAT, what do all the teams who threw 60+% of the time have in common? They’re all non playoff teams. Stroud threw just under 60% of the time, but Stroud was much more polished when he came out than Caleb is right now. Caleb will get there (hopefully), but Stroud going #2 behind Young was always insane. Dude was clean as a whistle as a QB prospect.

Seems like a stat highly dependent on how good a team is. There are outliers in coaches like Reid who have always thrown the ball a lot. In general though coaches look for more balance. Good teams who are usually up late in games are running the ball more. Bad teams who are always behind are going to be throwing a lot more.

If the Bears are good and winning games in the second half Eberflus will run the ball a lot.

They already have their speed back who can challenge teams in the pass game. They already have their bigger back who can pass block and catch passes. Having Herbert who is more of a pure one cut runner is fine so long as you have the other 2 guys.
Except he telegraphs plays.

Johnson is a 3rd down back dipshit. Why the **** would you start him?
They're supposed to start him this year. Just ask all of the Twitter Bears experts. Did you not get the memo from last year? His contact balance is through the roof.

His vision to the hole..... He's going to be a good back that will compete to start by the end of the 2023 season and likely be the starter in 2024.

Why did we pick up Swift when Johnson is sooooooooooo good?

Every good team builds something called depth. They also have backs that can pass block and contribute in the passing game and thus are relied on more on 3rd down. This isn’t hard but it’s not surprising that a fucking moron like you hasn’t figured this out yet.

I dont know if its been mentioned but Trey Hendrickson signed an extension less than a year ago. Now he sees lesser players making more and wants a new deal. Has an idiot for an agent obviously

He’s just trying to parlay his 17.5sack season into more money.

First, I don't really see the Bengals really doing this trade.

My other thought though is if Herbert was just easily replaced by an unsigned RB right now, why would the Bengals do a trade for him rather than sign that street guy?

I don't know, it just doesn't seem to add up to me.

I don't think this trade will happen, but he could be more important to the Bengals because of fit - Bears may want players who are more adept in the passing game while CIN might want a guy who is a really good one cut RB.

Cinci passes the ball as much as any team in the NFL.

Honestly do not see the fit with KH. He's a giant liability in the passing game, cant protect, cant catch, cant run routes.

Maybe they need a guy to just be a simple Change of Pace, but seems absurd to trade anything for him.
