Isn't it only ELCs have bonuses for awards? I don't think contracts after those can have those types of incentives... I don't know why that's the NHL system but I believe it is.

That could very well be. I have no idea either. Not a cap or cba guy at all

Yeah, but he was still on his ELC when they won that first Cup.

Sooooo I have a cap question for all you cap nerds

When Saad wins the Conn Smyth this year and when the Hawks resign him will they have to eat up the award bonus cap hit on his new contract or is it voided as the award was won under Saads current expiring contract?

Dont want another fucking Patrick Kane situation where a cup and a Conn Smyth cost the team Andew Ladd. Fucking Kane.
On that note, I read an article about this new site that popped up trying to fill the wound that was capgeek.

No idea how accurate it is, but hopefully it's good.

3 goals
0 assists
-3

11 playoff games

yah. Tell me again how vital Saad is to this team and how we need to clear cap space for him?

Anyone else watch him go back to shying away from the boards and being hit again today? I did. This guy drives me crazy sometimes more than any other player in the league. Once agian I feel I have the rights to throw around the "over rated" label on Saad yet again.

all in favor of moving him to the third line and having a 10-19-81 first line?

Yes please. Hell throw TT up there to play with Toews and Hossa if not Sharp. Okay maybe not going to go that far yet but shit yah give me Sharp. At least Sharp has the numbers to justify playing on a top line.

Saad has a wicked backhander.... if nothing else, that is worth keeping him around.

I wish they'd get Sharp closer to the net than his current position on the point. His wrist shot, which has to be his best attribute, aren't quite as effective from taht far away.
