It's strange that the games end up pretty close despite the Nucks outclassing the Hawks in every department. On one hand it looks like this will be a quick series on the other hand it looks like it could go the distance. One thing is for sure is that the Hawks need to answer the physicality and the big guns need to step up, so far they have been unnoticeable. The presiden't trophy winner currently kept home advantage, which isn't really a surprise. How the Hawks respond at home will be more telling of both the Hawks and the Nucks.

Big hand to Smith, for showing some life among the stiffs this team is currently icing. Maybe replace some of these uninterested vets with excited rookies who like to be in the playoffs.

Duncan Keith - "there is a fine line between being aggressive and sitting back"

?

I would figure that it is a pretty thick line Duncs. That's like saying there is a fine line btw black and white.

Am I wrong?

Duncs heads not right at all this year.

Except for Seabs none of the Hawks matched Vancouvers quality of hits, the Hawks are just taking a physical beating. The one Hawks PP where the Canucks were cycling in the Hawks zone and getting scoring chances shows the Canucks determination. Luongo let in two soft goals, the boys could have had him last night. Edler's goal at 19:46

was the killer.

Canucks look hungry, Hawks look confused and like they are going through the motions. And before everyone starts to rip me, that is just an observation. I am not saying they dont have heart or anything like that.

Well bubble... it's the flat out truth... nice post. I'm sure there will be a few people that don't see it that way but it's just the way it is.

As long as Toews, Kane, Hossa and Sharp continue to put up goose eggs in the goal department, this team is going nowhere. They're trying, but haven't been able to get it going. Toews and Hossa probably need a rest from killing penalties.

Keith and Seabrook haven't been good enough. The former is reading the game like a junior and handling the puck as if it were a grenade. He needs to settle the hell down and tone down the hyperactivity because he's making everyone around him nervous. Seabrook struggles with the pace at times and gets caught up ice time and again, lacking the speed to get back. They've both been close to useless on the powerplay.

It was nice to see the depth guys get some goals, but it won't be enough if that's all we get.

In spite of it all, the playoff atmosphere in the United Center should give the Hawks a boost and it's clearly not time throw in the towel or anything like that. The Canucks are a tough out this season, though, no doubt about it.

The Canucks are trying to come out flying and wear down the Hawks just like the past two years. The problem is this year with the Hawks lack of depth its working. Look at who wasn't playing from previous series last night. Bolland, Kopecky, Buff, Ladd, Burish, Versteeg, Eager. That took a lot of pressure off the top guys. And without that the top lines are responsible for a lot more of everything. And they can't do it at least not the first two games.

On a side note if Ben Smith isn't playing on the third line next season opening day I quit. That kid is a fucking player.

Keith and Hossa have been on the ice for 4 of VAN 6 goals scored

Van's first goal of both games have been direct results of Toews giveaways

Toews, Sharp, Hossa combined - no points - 20shots - -7 (Toews had zero shots in gm 2)

CHI - 0-5 on the PP

VAN - 1-3 on the PP

Keith has been the worst player on either team for the first two games.

Hawks in 6.

Dude seriously I know your a hawks fan but, Hawks in 6 makes you sound like a fool. Reality is this team has lost a lot players and injuries are piling up. Wheres the Captain where are all the core players???....where are the top paid players??...ooh yeah they are playing with injuries....?? that's everyone's excuse in here. Well so is the rest of the NHL. Ben was the only guy yesterday flying around and making plays. They showed up a stat the last night and showed how many points Toews had in ten games 2points. then they showed a list of our top players and how many goals they had in an amount of games...to sicking to list. I am a Hawks fan too guys but to be biast and say hawks will win in 6 is out right Special person. I am sorry to say, we will not advance past the first round.

Yesterday for the first time in a long time, I looked at them play and said wow, they look so out of it. Passes picked off, even there hitting was was soft.

We shall see what will happen at the UC since they have an unbeatable record at home.

I picked Hawks in 6 and Stand by it. Last night backed up my theory even though we lost. Get one on Luongo and watch him buckle. A win in Game 3 would give us the momentum.
