LETS GO HAWKS
I'll give up when the canucks have 4 wins
I'll give up when the canucks have 4 wins
I don't know, we'll see. I don't think so though. It looks to me they figured it out. They were up 1-0 last year and the year before, and still weren't giving the Hawks respect.
We'll see when it's 2-2..
There is no doubt the Canucks are playing both better, and a different game than they have in the past two series.
They are walking away at the end of plays. They have become Humble instead of appearing as if they "deserve" something they have not earned.
The Hawks have yet to play their best and that's the positive thing. They need one game in Vancouver and have to win the games on home ice. There are two more left in Vancouver.
Tomorrow is the biggest game of the season so far, but there have been many big games in the last month.
Excuse me if I don't call players out for losing on the other teams home ice. Will be interesting to see what crowd shows up tomorrow. I have yet to see a crowd this year that has fed their team like the Rogers Arena has. Chalk it up to dumb, uninterested fans, being there to be seen because it's the thing to do, rather than watching whats happening on the ice.
You say "so-called core", can it be any more apparent that they are the core when we lose games where none of them are on the score sheet.
I don't drink any koolaid, I watch hockey. The Hawks are a 97 point fucking 8 seed, 3rd best goal differential in the conference. Do what you can with that stat. Did you miss Philidelphia's 3-0 comeback last year? Do you recall last years first round against Nashville. Funny the same people saying its over had the same thoughts til Kane's goal with 30 seconds left. Momentum is one of the biggest things in hockey, and it swings faster than any other sport.
Luongo gets paid 7 million a year and he can't answer a few questions after the game, the guy is an emotional pussy, and it translates straight to his play. If we win tomorrow, I'll love to see the change of heart around here.
As for your opinion, my opinion is:
I could'nt agree with you more.
Luongo also was asked if he needed to make it deeper into the STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS to validate his status as a world class goalie, and he said no. I don't have the link but he was asked this in the days leading up to game 1 vs Hawks
Is Fluffle still here? Acco = Fluffle ?
<deleted comment> I deleted it because I can not tell an uneducated dumb **** he's a dumb ****.
Pez(not related to the above) I've always agreed with that. I have said numberous times Q won the Cup in Chicago in spite of himself. His team was so well rounded they were bound to win it. That said I'm sure something he did paid off a long the way but with a team lacking in depth he has had problems all year finding the right chemistry.
And in your example Montreal has four Centers, and three lines running. Hawks have neither.
Sadly, the only line that was running was one without a center and probably only one top 6 forward on it. The other 3 lines that had real centers didn't do anything.
I watched the LA game tonight too and you are right Pez. It also helps when your #1 blueliner plays like a #1 blueliner. Doughty was a machine tonight and just makes our #1 blueliner look that much worse.
Keiths play is a big reason the Hawks find themselves where they are. While it sucks to point a finger at one guy and its often not fair our "system" pez has always been based a lot on how Keith rolls. His offense has always been a key in the past as has the outlet pass (not only from him but also Campbell..who hasn't been great either).
But I agree size isn't an excuse. Esp after watching guys like St Louis laugh off getting his teeth knocked out etc etc. Playoff hockey one has to play like its playoff hockey..that means sacrificing. Have our guys done it? Probably not enough.
I haven't been a big fan of Q this season either. But who knows maybe Scotty oh Scotty is getting his hands on coaching decisions yet again? Probably.

I hope you bring some luck to the game tonight RK. I think the boys are going to need it. No Bickell, and Taffe dressing, is what I'm hearing.
You haven't watched him play, have you?
