BREAKING! bEARS NEED A qb

It really is breaking news to many Bears fans who don't even want a quarterback because of "optics" or becauuse they wouldn't be able to afford extending 30 year old defenders

Have the Bears given up 9 first round picks yet for Weelson?

Really?

I feel like many of us have been saying that for roughly the entire history of the internet.
Haha no shit. The guy has to be solitary confinement believe he's the only Bears fan who has noticed that the team can't just fix this darn quarterback position.

If they almost traded him in 2018, per the Athletic article, I could definitely see Seattle trading Wilson now that he wants out and is making waves.

From day one, Carroll and Schneider said they would have no sacred cows. They would be involved in every deal, scout every player.

Really? Can you show me? Like i said, a few of us were saying the Bears are a QB away and most were hating on us saying that and saying we have no offensive weapons.

They aren't taking a 39 million dead cap hit and entering into a rebuild because the Bears really want Wilson.
Why do you keep coming back to “Because the Bears Want”? Do you not understand this is stemming from the Seahawks and Wilson? If things get bad enough, which is sounds like it’s trending that way, the Bears could be a real option for Wilson. And that’s because he wants that.

A great idea in theory. The problem is there is nothing important in football than an elite QB now.

Choosing them over Wilson is making them your sacred cows.

A smart organization should fire them first before even considering trading Wilson.

This is a rare opportunity for the Bears to capitalize on another teams stupidity and end up with a top 5 QB.

For the record, i only stop reading at the first sign of something dumb enough to stop me in my tracks. If this would have started with "On Undisputed yesterday Skip Bayless said" i would have stopped reading.

No i'm fine with people not reading my posts cause i do it with many posters on here so it doesn't bother me. I was just having some fun with you but don't care if you don't read my posts.

Really? Can you show me?

I tried finding my thread after Jim Harbaugh's last season with the Bears on the old Chicago Bears AOL BB, but I guess Google is not that talented.

You'll just have to take my word for it.

Windy, a post June 1st designated trade is about a 13m cap hit....

Per Spotrac, Windy is actually correct. Even after a June 1 Trade, its a $13M Dead Cap for the 2021 season but ALSO a $26M Dead Cap hit for the 2022 season.

Trading for Wilson is going to be interesting because on the surface, he is 7 years older than Watson and that is a huge issue for a lot of teams. Houston can ask for the world because the buying team is looking at a potential 10ish year window where as with Russ, you are looking at maybe 3-4 year window. Teams are not going to give up as much for such a smaller window.

Now the flip of the argument is that if both are traded after June 1, Watson carries a smaller 2 year dead cap it (about 21M) where as Wilson carries that $39M 2 year dead cap hit

if they are that butt hurt on him they can weather it over 2 years....the 2022 cap will have a ginormous jump
