This is the Hawks PP I am used to. No traffic in front, and no real tough saves for Niemi on the first PP.

Saad has been impressive. Something happening everytime he's out there.

The way this game is going, a goal on this SJ PP could be a crusher....

Very nice goal by Saad. He has shown some great skill when it comes to one on one rushes. Very shifty and is able to read the dman very well. Nice to see him bury it.

Sure feels like the Hawks have taken over the game since the goal they let in at the end.

The other top three point starts to the season all won the Stanley Cup. Hopefully the record holders can keep that streal alive as well.

Awesome game. Another great team effort but there were definitely a few guys who I thought had nice games.

Nicely done by Emery. He was shaky in the first but fought the puck off all night and earned the win in a big way. Looking like a great back up goaltender right now and gotta love how he has stepped up with Crawford out.

Kane - thought he played a nice game tonight. A very safe game and he was very smart at the bluelines (which he hasn't been for the most part this season.)
Oduya/Hjalmarsson - both had great games. Very safe decisions, blocked shots, and jumping in the play. This second pairing is doing a great job and taking a big load off the shoulders of Keith/Seabrook
Saad - nice to see him bury the puck. He is very shifty one on one and hopefully his confidence continues to grow.
Carcillo - had a real nice first and second period, seemed to be a little winded in the third. I thought he played a smart game (not taking an extra penalty after Kruger was boarded, but made a point by getting in Gallardi's face) and a high energy game that the Blackhawks can definitely use.

The only player that I would single out was Bolland. Thought he made some poor decisions offensively (wasn't patient enough) and didn't pick up Marleau (high guy) on San Jose's goal. Have to wonder what happened to Bolland as I didn't see him in the third period at all, so hopefully he is okay because when healthy he helps this team out.

Awesome that the Blackhawks got the record but all that matters now is if they finish the way the other longest undefeated teams did with the Stanley Cup.

3 games in 4 days coming up with a game Sunday and a game Monday. Would expect Crawford to get back in there for one of the games.

It's getting to the point where I'm just laughing out of disbelief after every game. 17 straight without a regulation loss. Wow. Just wow.
