Don't forget Lepisto can add an offensive punch to

Aye, healthy competition is good. It's also why I added the word earn. Is he called the "Pistol" for only because of his name or does he have a good, heavy shot? Can't recollect seeing a whole lot of him.

Looking forward to seeing more 'will you marry me Sharpy' signs at the UC.

The minute Leddy gets undressed, people will be calling for Soupy.

Hrm...ya know that reminded me, it also happens to solid defensemen vets (loosely) as well:

Ownage. :lmao:

LOL, I'd forgotten how one sided that deal was. Tallon did pull off a few good ones...just had a big problem recognizing what good goalie looked like.

Haven't seen if attached was a NMC or a NTC. Not released yet or I missed it...anyone have the drop on that yet?

Edit: Hadn't dropped...did just now - modified NTC.

Between the Sharp deal, the Hawks getting the #1 Kane pick and the Cup Finals, I almost feel bad for the Flyers. Now they're overpaying a goalie and they get to pay Jagr to not play 60 games this year.

They can rest easy though- they did steal that one Sunday afternoon game against the Hawks late in 2010. That game really did piss me off. :elephant:

I've liked every single move this offseason.
First, the Crawford signing and then everything that happened on July 1st and after with FA.
Carbomb is probably the only one that I'm not 100% sure will be good.
Then Frolik was re-signed. I didn't think Campoli needed to stay, but it was sad to see him go because he was helpful. Signing Lepisto is actually good, though.
And now they signed Sharp. I'm a happy Hawks fan.

There's been some chirping in the Twitter-verse about if the 5.9 cap hit is a "home town" discount of sorts. Not sure if I buy that, but Sharp may have been able to get a bit more on the open market.
It's hard to tell when Stamkos/Weber are now earning the same, but I don't put Sharp in that kind of company-- yet he's completely a different player than the two.

I basically compare him to the piece the core needs, a la Pippen to the Bulls circa 1990s. Good extension. It will pay off.

Kane got $6.3. Sharp getting $5.9 sounds good to me.
