CHICAGO -- Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said Tuesday he hopes to have Patrick Sharp back by the end of the regular season.

The Hawks' last regular-season game is April 10.

"We hope to have him back before the end of the regular season," Quenneville said. "He feels better the last couple of days, so we'll see his progress over the next little bit."

Sharp had a knee-on-knee collision with Phoenix's Rostislav Klesla on Sunday. He left the ice with the help of the training staff and went immediately to the dressing room.

Brian Campbell, who has a left foot injury, hopes to return Wednesday against the Panthers.

They are going to give you the best case scenario. Who knows, maybe Sharp is a fast healer. We can all hope. His 22pts in the playoffs last year were huge. Especially the Nashville game he scored two goals in.

This is a true test of how resilient this team can be, lets see if they can come together and overcome this obstical like they have been all year. I have all the faith in the world that they can!

Put Sharpie in some sort space age oxygen tent to make the healing faster. It's really a shame he got injured when he had such an excellent year, he could have made 70 pts or 40 goals.

Look...I like Sharp...alot. But he's extremely streaky. When hot - he lites it up. Always has been like that. But I dont think he's what Zetteberg (their #2 forward) is to DET. Not with Toews, Kane and Hossa.

Sharp's more replaceable at Wing than if he was at Center. Bringing in Kruger will probably move Frolik back to a wing.

Here's to Mr.Kruger

Sharp, in terms of importance to the club, is our #2 forward.

-19:26 per game 2nd in ice time for Hawk forwards

-3:24 per game 1st in ice time for Hawk forwards on PP

-1st in goals

-2nd in points

-1st in PP points

If you are looking at Zetterberg he is nearly identical in terms of importance to his club. Not to mention both players are versatile and can line up at center if needed, if anything Sharp plays twice as much as Zetterberg on the PK.

Call him whatever you want, but take Detroits #2 forward, their #2 center, and a puck moving D-man, and they are just as screwed.

Ironically they have a machine for this. Hot/Cold. I'm not sure it's for Knee's though but most definitely ankle injuries.

Assyrians have a home remedy system that involves dough. Rap fresh dough around the sprain and it works I used to do it when playing basketball and got sprained ankles.

Toews and Kane represent what Datsyuk/Zetterberg are to DET more than Sharp, IMO

Sharp's having a great year - no doubt. But he's still never topped 70 pts. Zetterberg has in 5 of last 6yrs (only year he didnt, had 33g/68pts in in 63gms). Henrik is a career +132 and known as one of the best defensive forwards in the game.

With Sharp's "career" year in terms of points/goals..Kane is the one that makes this offense go, just at Toews makes this team go in terms of drive/hustle/leadership.

lol!

Well, that is certainly good news! Our chances improve dramatically with Campbell back, and Sharp possibly being back before the end of the season.

You're looking at individual achievements, I clearly said I was just showing what he meant to the team this year. 70 points, comparing their careers, has nothing to do with how much they are actually on the ice in all situations. If you consider that, Sharp is our #2 forward.

Even to the team this year, regardless of his 68pts....I'd rather lose him than Toews, Kane or Hossa

Thats tough. The fact he can play Center and Bolland is apparently done for, has to speak for something.

Alot of Sharps production is from Kane's assists.

I put them at 82% chance to make the playoffs if the rumors are true!

I'll take that!

No different than what I said last night. Sharp will miss the rest of the season. Depending on how he heals will be the rest.

were all worrying about sharp missing two to three weeks...we should be the least worried compared to the deadwings......

Babcock informed reporters following Tuesday's practice at Joe Louis Arena that Detroit will likely play the Western Conference leading Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday without forwards Pavel Datsyuk (lower body), Johan Franzen (groin), Jiri Hudler (shoulder) and Todd Bertuzzi (back/upper body soreness).

If there was any time that we can catch these asswhips now is the time. What a story that would be.
