Torres keeps giving us fuel!

Yes he does. And AV keeps playing him allowing him too. Much like he did with Burrows the previous 2 years. Haven't learned from past mistakes AV? Good lol.

Smith is a gamer. I respect this kid more than ever after tonight. While he isn't lighting up the scoreboard as much lol he is playing as a Hawk and a professional hockey player should in his position and at his current skill level. THIS KID WANTS TO BE A HAWK!!

Nice pass he made to spring Sharp tonight too. That was a play and the eye of a kid with good hockey sense. Too bad Sharpy was snuffed by Lou and one of his few good saves. But more importantly he gets his knees almost taken out he goes to the dressing room gets em looked at and probably shot with pain killers..comes back out and plays hard and SMART!!!

Love it.

Smith is a fucking keeper... I thought he was done after that knee-to-knee, but he was back a couple shifts later. I thought he was surely done after taking that elbow from Edler, but he was back the NEXT SHIFT. He made some really, really nice plays out there too. Never backed down, and just kept going. Seems like he might have the vision to play in our top six, too. He looked right at home with Sharp/Hossa. I'm loving what I'm seeing from him. Too bad we wasted a roster spot on Pisani all season, instead of giving the kid the shot he earned coming out of training camp...

Oh, and thread hijack, but maybe we should trade Sharp and find ourselves a real second line center.

I loved the stare down of contempt he gave Bieksa. He's going to be fixture on lines 1-3 for a while. Love this kid and his winning pedigree. Future "A" at some point?

That stare down was epic... Stared him down all the way to the bench. Bieska looked at him, and, as Scott said, just bowed his head and skated to the bench. These Canucks are all gigantic fucking pussies. For a rookie to show that kind of confidence and nastiness.... I love it.

Benny Smith is making a lot of fans right now. Does anybody not like this kid, how he plays, his compete level? The look on his face after he scored that goal last night was priceless and he handled himself really well in his interviews. Judging by the reaction of his teammates, they were so happy for him too (Kane hugged him and patted his head for like, 5 minutes).

Can someone explain the relevance of this? I don't get it.

It's a Dr. Who (sarah jane smith adventures) thing, as many who are fans can also tell from K-9 on the screen even if they didn't know who Mr. Smith was.

I've been wondering when is Ben getting a shot on the Hawks this year?

If Stalberg is our worst problem, this team is in great shape.
