I don't mind the snow. I don't mind driving on it, and I'll likely be shoveling older neighbors drive/walkways(at least enough to get them in and out before it melts).

Yuck to getting snow? Or yuck to living in Des Moines? I lived in the Quad cities for 4 years and dated a girl that went to college in Des Moines for a couple years and despised it (IA in general, not just Des Moines)

And, for the record. I fucking love snow too! I just hate the bitter-ass cold that usually comes after a good snowfall

Windy. Heavy snow in the evening will give way to snow showers overnight. Low near 25F. Winds WNW at 25 to 35 mph. 3 to 5 inches of snow expected. Winds could occasionally gust over 50 mph.

I do just fine with front-wheel drive. Usually it's not getting through the snow that's the problem, it's hitting a patch of ice and not being able to stop. AWD won't help with that.

That said, snow sucks. Wake me up in April.

Oh I know. I remember seeing them around the holidays when I lived in FL. That really did help me get in the christmas spirit a little more
