Fair? The vikings? You gotta be kidding me.

Yeah I'm not hearing the Vikes at all. I do like their O-Line though, Kalil is a beast. I actually think Detroit beats them out & gives winning second place in the North a run for it's money as nuts as it may sound.

Shut down AP with 6 & 7 in the box, if you have to D.T. Rudolph from time to time ok, he's big and is that good, & man coverage vs their other two WRs. Harvin isn't there to make a team pay for run blitzing. As much as I do like Patterson, I do think he's a year, maybe two, away from being a consistent offensive threat. He's been looking pretty damn good on K.O. returns though.

I think Urlacher is probably inflating the effect of the team losing him.

Eh. Maybe. Either way, like I said earlier I think this entire division has the chance to be a cluster ****. I could see every team being 7-9 to 10-6 and the race coming down to the last 2 weeks. The Bears could end up 7-9 or 8-8 and end up being a better team than they were last season. I don't think Detroit is nearly as bad as they showed last year. Minnesota likely overachieved last year(as did the Bears a bit) but they still have Purple Jesus and a good defense so they'll be around. Green Bay just doesn't feel right to me this year. I don't think we'll suck but I just don't feel comfortable about them for some reason. I can't really put my finger on it. Something just feels off. Maybe it's that on their face the losses of Jennings, Woodson, Bulaga, etc aren't crippling but do they chip away enough at the team to cause a bit of a back slide into the blob that is the NFC North? I don't know. Tough division to handicap and call.

I agree. I would put Detroit ahead of the Vikes.

If I had to put money on the NFCN I would rank em like this:

Packers
Bears
Lions
Vikes.

Yeah, I agree. Which is why I wouldn't really put money on the NFCN.

But if someone was holding a gun against my head, no way I'd put Vikes at 2nd.

Which isn't to say they can't. But I think they would have to biggest climb with the most variables turning out just right to get there.

I think the division is a toss between Bears, Packers and Vikings. Vikings have the run game, which is a great equalizer. I wouldn't expect Brian to be a great analyst.

Teams don't shut Peterson down with 8 in the box. Ponder hasn't exactly made anyone honest.

Urlacher is going to have a long career as a talking head. Already he figured out the best way to get Bear fans to discuss what he said is to say something bad about the Bears. It works every time.

And there is a real possibility he is correct.

I don't see how urlacher said anything bad? He's basically saying the team will finish where it did, last year. New coaches and no Brian...it's not that far of a reach.

He didn't say anything bad and I'm sure he'll be going out of his way not to be a homer.

Urlacher would barely say a word to media or fans for basically the last 4 years of his career...and now he can't seem to keep his mouth shut? With the LB's we have in house now, no one will miss the Urlacher of last year....in fact we will be celebrating his retirement.

Move on Url.

Sour grapes...

Pretty much this...

Brian is just going to be bitter for a while. His big time ego took a slap upside the head, and it's gonna take a while for him to bet over it.

I can't say I'm much surprised.

It's amazing to me for all of Urlachers career he defended his coaches and his teammates til the very end. Even when the shitty fans were booing he had his teams back. Now when Urlacher gives out an honest and realistic assessment of 3rd place those same shit fans complain how he's turned on his team. Get real... Trestman is not his coach, this coaching staff are not his coaches. The Bears organization is changing face he has no loyalty to this team. Sure he has a former teammates still on the team and he is still friends with them, but the only ppl bitter are the fans. You haven't heard any former teammates ***** about Urlacher unlike Jennings and Nick Barnett who bitched Rodgers as soon as they left.

Even when Urlacher defended his team when the fans were booing only fans called out Urlacher, several of his teammates said the same. Conte said "We have two must win games left. We need all the support we can get. if u aren't with us then you are against us. Real bear fans #beardown" but no one said anything about Contes remarks.

Typical Chi-town fans thing their shit dont stink. WE MUST BE NUMBER ONE!

Honestly, with injuries and the flip floppy nature of the NFL in general, it wouldn't surprise me if the Packers finished last while a team like the Lions or Vikings won the division. It's really hard to predict from year to year because there is a ton of parody.

I think the reaction in because after AP and their OL, the Vikes don't have one position group that is better than the Bears or Lions.

I don't know, maybe Detroit will mature and not be so one dimensional offensively. I wouldn't bet on Bush to accomplish that. I think our division will be interesting and probably go to the wire.
