Personally I'm intrigued but I'm going to wait until November before getting fully on board with it.
Why wouldn't you be? Aren't you used to the best coaching prospects constantly turning away from the Bears and going elsewhere? Aren't you used to the Bears skimping on head coaching hires and watching almost all of them suck?
We obviously don't know how things will turn out, but for now, the BJ hiring is the best move of the offseason by any team, by far, because he was the mostly highly touted coaching prospect who's expertise is more direly needed by this franchise and it's prospective franchise QB than any other. There's almost literally no one other coach in the world we could have got that would be a better fit for what we needed and certainly no one else better than was available.
Not only that but the Bears identified him as the most pressing need and paid top dollar to get him here. That's very un-Bears-like.
