Well the Bulls are interested in dealing Luol Deng for Lebron James.

If this rumor has any legs to it, the Bulls are just doing it for the money imo. Bill Walker just isn't that good.

the exact thing i was thinking..... i was reading it at wk & said who the **** is bill walker.... i think i rather them just do the picks unless you come by an offer you cant refuse....worst case scenario you dont sign the picks after summer league IMO

Naw, we don't want that choker. :smug:

But seriously, his contract is only a couple million dollars more initially. xD

Yeah I'd rather they just make the picks unless there's something else better comes along. From the looks of things, I think that's what'll happen. I doubt management is worried about saving money that much unless for whatever reason they think Bill Walker is any better than Keith Bogans. I declare this trade stupid.

Bill Walker has potential to be a very solid player for a team like the Bulls, guys.

He is a very good 3 point shooter. He has attempted 270 3's in his career and has hit 40% of them. That's pretty damn good.
And considering he would be getting a lot of open looks playing next to Rose, I would say that Walker would have a chance to be very good for us.

Plus he's 6'6, a solid size for a SG.

Maybe off the bench he'd be ok. I doubt he can play much defense though. He was a late 2nd rounder back in the day wasn't he?

Yeah I don't know about Bill Walker. He had a Bogan's like drought from three point land not to long after New York beat Miami.

Bulls are talking with the Knicks about the late 1st round pick. That's all that has been mentioned.

The difference is Bogans has never shot 40% in his long career. The best he did was .387 off of 147 attempts. Walker can shoot over 40% from the 3pt, and over 50% fg with rose creating plays. The difference is, in NY with Melo, no plays were really created. That team was a me first team. Before Melo he was a.518 Fg .431 3pt and he averaged nearly more steals per game than turn overs!

How many minutes per game and how many of those were garbage time?

In my opinion Michael Beasley is a top choice

It's funny both Walker and Beasley's names would come up. Both players went to K-State so I have some familiarity with them. Coming out of High school, Walker was regarded as one of the best players in the Country. He blew his knee out after only 6 games his freshman year and was lost for the season. The next year, Beasley joined him ar K-state and Walker never lived up to his "potential." I think he would be a good fit off the bench with the Bulls because he is a very good shooter. The concern is that he has already had 3 knee surgeries, so he could spend a lot of time on injured reserve.

I'm not sure about Beasley. He was good in college. I wanted him over Rose in that draft (I was very wrong about that.) but I don't see how he would fit on this Bulls team.
