I don't see why having 6 outdoor games is watering down the event. If anything, it's allowing more teams/cities/fans to experience an outdoor game. It's promoting the game and possibly bringing in new fans, venues, and publicity. I'm sure the players will enjoy it as well.</p>

That sounds good in theory, but considering five of the 12 teams participating have already experienced a Winter Classic... How many "more" teams are really benefitting from it?</p>

And if that's the case, why not just let every team host a Winter Classic every year?</p>
