The only problem is that we lack depth. Say we get LeBron.
Rose-Deng-LeBron-Taj-Noah? Rose-Hinrich/DP(draft pick)-LeBron-Taj-Noah?

Bench-Hinrich and/or DP, maybe Deng, JJ....

No matter where you move deng and lbj around, you still have a sick starting 5 for the most part but the bench is really lacking.

I dont think we need to get LeBron + a top tier PF like Bosh, Amare, Boozer, etc. But we would need to move Deng to really clear up some room to build up the rest of the roster with good role players.

Dont forget that Omer Asik is supposed to join the roster this year. So, what does that leave us?

PG--Rose, Hinrich
SG--
SF--Deng, Johnson
PF--Gibson
C---Noah, Asik

I wonder is TOR would accept Asik and Taj in a S&T for Bosh? I know they want a big in return.

Its tough w/ Deng and LeBron because i cant see Deng fitting in anywhere but SF but i guess you can have Bron as a really big SG. Bron also doesnt have any post game for PF.

Anyways fact is Bron with our Roster is better than him in Cleveland. We could always figure out these problems later.

I'm willing to buy that he can help, as everything I've read on him has lauded his improvements since EuroBasket 09, but as trade bait for Chris Bosh? No.

We've already covered how the Bulls are decidedly not in the driver's seat for any attempted sign-and-trades, and I think a lot of people are really overplaying his connection with Hedo in Toronto (not on this board, necessarily, but elsewhere), as well as his potential value in a trade.

seems like the Toronto GM likes his Euro players. Omar has developed a pretty skillful post game and could help the Raptors. I doubt the Raptors are looking to keep Bosh so I think they would be happy with a young project like Asik that could help them down the road.

You'd still have to throw in more money/players. Asik would be the "project" piece of the trade I guess but Toronto is going to what something more proven in return.

Whats getting lost by many is that this doesnt work like a straight up trade. Its not necessarily Toronto putting him on the trade block and taking the best offer. What happens is Bosh goes to Toronto and says, "I want to play in, lets say, Chicago,...work something out." If Bosh wants that extra year, the Bulls need to give them something but its not a case where theyre going to get equal value. Youre likely looking at some combination of value players (ie cheap) and players who are good but have bad contracts.

If youre Toronto and you play hardball, you could get nothing. If they dont want good players with bloated contracts, then they have no reason to turn down draft picks, decent players on rookie contracts, or rights to players (which is a rookie contract).

They should be looking to trade Deng and Hinrich regardless from the standpoint of their contracts alone. Youre thinking is solid of putting a bad contract with an offset in Asik. But know too, that if youre talking in terms of trading Deng to accommodate bringing in both LeBron and Bosh, youd also need to trade Hinrich's 9 million dollar contract.

I'm tired of the Lebron sweepstakes. If he plays for the Bulls great if not I hope the team can get Bosh and shooter not named Joe Johnson who will be overpriced. Korver and his 54% from 3 standing out on the wing at all times ready for a Derrick Rose kickout sounds about right.
