Honestly I don't follow news in Spokane too much, but assuming she's a good representative and the what, NAACP thinks so, is it a huge deal?

I think the gross misrepresentation makes it a big deal. Her heart was in a good place, but if she lied on applications to get the job, then that's a problem, especially since she was in a leadership position.
