Sorry about the multipost but I wanted to bring this up about what was said about this whole collusion bullshit. What was brought up if George steinbrenner was still running the Yankees he would have stuck the finger at everybody else that I do what I do cuz he doesn't put up with nobody shit. So I think most of the owners are in bed with each other and nobody can stand up and say no

i have a hard time believing that all owners are refusing to sign Boras clients simply due to them being Boras clients.

Like, i cant imagine the Dodgers are sitting there saying no to all Boras clients even if some could help them win a title.

I've always saw Boras as an arrogant ****....just my impression, he may or may not be as I don't know him. You wouldn't think that a big money business like MLB would let that kind of thing get in the way. But stranger things have happened.

A former general manager or assistant general manager spoke out about Boras about a year ago, and described much of what we’ve heard recently.
Boras will try to talk to the owner versus the general manager.
Boras will drag things out and ask for extras at the last minute, after you think you’ve got a deal.
Boras will demand to be in the press conference the team holds to announce the signing and will need to speak. If the team says no, his client doesn’t sign.

The fact that he has clients unsigned at this point is not proof of collusion. Just the opposite. It is his doing and the way he wants it. It happens every year and the signings are getting later. His doing.

They pretty much got together about Trev and black balled him. I would not put it past them.

Snell, Montgomery, Bellenger, JD Martinez and Chapman.

One team after the other has gone out and said done spending. Even the LAA who spends cash in stupid ways. Twins nixed them. Seattle nixed Chapman.

Team are spending. Just not on Boras' guys.

Like I said I feel that the teams are just sticking the middle finger at Boras. Make him come down with his guys or have them get paid in Japan.

But I'm pretty jazzed by Davis being healthy. Iowa might end up with a strong team this year and these kids start forcing change on the roster.

I'll say this. I would rather let things lie and let the talent upwell vs overspend and block the system.

AAA OF:

Davis, PCA and Canario. All 3 should get full playing time. I'm good with Happ, Tauchman and Suzuki at the MLB level. Madrigal and Mastrobuoni (He came in to camp jacked up BTW) can move Morel to CF as needed. Wisdom can cover the corner OF spots and thus rotation of the DH.

This way All 3 guys at Iowa can force roster spots. Davis has a bit to prove before Jed goes there. Canario lost a year and needs to rebuild cred. PCA needs more time to polish his hitting.

But it opens up trade this year. Say trade Happ and move Suzuki into DH. That is if all 3 are crushing AAA.

Dude no, Trevor Bauer black balled himself. Bad person. He wasn't cleared of anything,, they resolved litigation. This doesn't mean guilty or not guilty.

There have been 4 woman who have accused him and cases are still ongoing:

Sounds like more carpet baggers trying to get a buck.

He has a bullseye on his back for sure. But if one is guilty then all are guilty. The reverse is also true.

People are creatures of habit. They don't pick one and beat them up and that one na she cool.

I see it as they are looking for the pay off to make it go away. If Trevor drags it out and they are looking at nothing they will drop.

It is typical

Like I said people don't change. There would have been history from college years of him assaulting women

I see this as one chick decided to set him up for cash and then other women that have had him decided to cash in.

The only lesson to learn here is if you have money to lose or for other people to gain. Be careful of the people you share your bed with

I'm not sure if they're the same case honestly. People do crazy shit like that are more like Jeffrey Dahmer and stuff like that very plastic people. Trevor Bauer has put himself out there into the public eye and he's challenged a lot of people and it doesn't really feel right if you know what I mean. Most of the times the more you show the public the less you have to hide and that's something that you would be hiding a lot if you're doing something like that.

Especially when you're trying to build a brand I doubt that you're going to be out there doing sexual assault and risking everything you're trying to build so I don't know. I think Bill Cosby was more of a above it all type of person because he had a long history in the public eye

As far as the prospects. Davis was told that he will not break camp with the Cubs. His focus is getting healthy not making the team. So I do like Council's managing style. Very to the point and no messing around. This is refreshing after dealing with Jed for the past 11 years and them acting cloak and dagger.

This goes into the decision of starting Morel at 3B and Wisdon at 1B. Yet again a focused sign of leadership that gives the players a sense of direction.

We did not see this with Ross. The relationship feels Jed is deferring to Craig and David deferred to Jed. This is a sign of respect.
