That was the kicker for me not liking the deal at the time. Lack of games played. Everything else about Timo was great but yah not playing a single game all year, blood clots rang to me as someone who wasnt going to walk onto the hawks roster and make an impact. There were other third pairing blueliners out there who would have been more reasonable without the gamble. Hawks certainly didnt need an experienced vet either on the blueline. Had 5 already so i dont buy into the idea that timos experience was an asset for the team. Have 4 blueliners sitting on the roster with 2 cups and another guy with 1 at the time. There is still some baffling idea out there that the Hawks are a young roster. Its not. Probably no team in the league right now with more playoff experience. Kings perhaps are the exception.
...and who the Hawks could have obtained with a similar deal, or less, than we "gave" the Flyers for Kimo. Not one of Stan's stellar moves.
