I don't get your statement since Jordan wasn't known for making a lot of clutch dunks...he hit a whole lot of clutch shots. So did Larry Bird.

I think you are over-analyzing things a bit

Well, I meant more like three-point shots about Miller. And Jordan did miss his fair share of game-winners anyway.

Michael Jordan, never once, missed a game-winning shot. He made all of them. He even missed all of his game-losing attempts.

I must've missed the part where someone compared T-Mac to MJ.

And Miller didn't??? Nobody else did it better, from whatever range. I saw Jordan hit clutch 3s also.

I can respect anyone who would take Jordan over Miller from any range. I, personally, would take Miller if I needed a three in a catch and shoot situation. I've seen him destroy teams from out there way too often to take anybody else in that situation.

Whenever that article reminded us that the Bulls need a two guard who can create his own shot and play solid defense, Tracy McGrady went to the very bottom of the list for players that would fit those needs, right along with Matt Fish, Lance Blanks and Stuart Gray. If I were filling the GM role, I'd be gunning hard for OJ Mayo. Then again... that's me assuming we'll have an NBA season. I will now jump out of the nearest window.

I'm indifferent.

Maybe he'll turn out like Grant-Hill, who worked to change their durability through hard work and diet. Maybe not. We'll see. He wasn't terrible last year for Detroit, but anyone who thinks he's going to contribute a lot to this, or any team, is fooling themselves. He is a 10-13th man.
Difference between Grant Hill and T-Mac is that Hill is still a good defender, while T-Mac is not.

I think the Bulls should aim higher than McGrady for their hole at SG. Like Aaron Afflalo

I would love having Grant Hill to back up JRSmith and backing up Deng.
He would provide great veteran leadership and yes, he does defend.
A very solid class act off the bench indeed.

I still say Afflalo isn't the answer...hate on JR Smith or whoever all you want...Afflalo's game doesn't help the Bulls against the Heat in my opinion. He can't create a shot at all for himself...that is what the Bulls need.

Plus it would be very interesting to see Swish go at Dwade and get into his head in a 7 game series.
Might even get Wade ejected or somthing.
Just looking at Swish pisses muthafunkas off.
Just look at this forum.

JR would shine in Chicago with the sole purpose of shutting up the haters on all of the bulls messageboards.
It just so happens that he reads ChiCitySports.
He's smoking a blunt watching you right now.

I actually agree with this. I'm not talking from the standpoint of team chemistry. I have no idea how that would work since Smith is a bit of a knucklehead. But what the Bulls need from a player is someone who is athletic and explosive. When JR Smith is hot, he can win games and keep you in games. Afflalo is like a better version of Bogans.

And nevermind what Smith's perceived shortcomings on defense are. What you constantly hear is that the team defense compensates for individual shortcomings. If Ray Allen can excel defensively in this system, there's no reason to think Smith couldnt. Not saying it will happen but the ability is there.

And we, most likely, wouldnt need Smith to be on his game every game in a 7 game series vs. Miami. Meanwhile, we would need more from Bogans than what is realistic to expect.

Foam at the mouth all you want for JR, but he doesn't fit the mold of this team. GarPax looks for hard-working, unselfish players with a high level of maturity. Smith has none of those attributes. Smith is one of those infuriatingly frustrating players, who has a whole wealth of talent but is too stupid & immature to ever cultivate those talents to blossom into a star. Sure his scoring & athleticism would improve the Bulls, but the dude is a total waste of talent 50% of the time.

What has happened with him in China is very telling. Fighting with management, putting himself above all other players on the team, & then faking an injury to try & get out of his contract. It's a scary thing when Marbury is the voice of reason.

The problem with this slant is that the 50% of the time that he's not a waste of talent could mean a lot more to the Bulls than a Bogans kind of player.

I'm not going to argue that he fits in well with the players they've been acquiring. But if you're talking about what they need? It becomes a different matter to discuss.
