@knoxville7 you holding your PLT for now or did you take the gains to wait on a crash?

I shaved like 12% of it around $23 a share when it was on its way up to the $30 range. I didn’t really want to, but I had told myself if it doubles quickly I should sell some. Waited a lil past doubling as it was. Been holding thru this dip down, though. I think it pops back over $30 pretty soon. They are heavily involved in the vaccine distribution with the govt. near term prospects should be good as long as the distribution doesn’t get fucked up and them blamed lol

no, what I told you at the start was I originally had the stock at about $8 a share. I sold it off a good while back for massive profits. I watched it continue to go up past where I sold off. Missed those profits. When it had its massive run up to the 80’s, I said it would pull back. When it did, I re opened a position in it in the 70’s. It’s now pushing close to 100, thus making some more profits
Fair enough, the pull back didn't last long, and was the result of a misunderstanding of their acquisition of Xilinx. It amazes me of how little the talking heads of the investor world understand tech. I'd be the first to admit my knowledge of the stock world is very limited, as the only thing I pay attention to is tech.

AMD acquiring Xilinx, the leader in FPGA technology, is a marriage made in heaven, and will assist AMD in it's quest to penetrate the data base/server market. And the acquisition is being funded entirely by their recent windfall in stock evaluation.

Tech is an area I wish I had more general knowledge about. I can recognize whomst the important players are, but having in depth understanding of how their day to day works I lack somewhat.

AMD is well positioned to keep shit stomping Intel for the next 2+ years, because Intel is falling farther and farther behind in Chip design. And a CPU isn't something you just roll out in a matter of months, it takes years to develop. Intel problems rest almost solely on its struggles with its Fabs, while AMD uses TSMC for all its CPU fabrication.

That is not to say Intel is going to be losing money anytime soon, because Intel is a much more diverse company that has its hands in a lot of things that AMD does not even compete with them in. However, in the areas that AMD is a direct competitor, Intel will be at a significant disadvantage for the near foreseeable future.

I have PLTR. I bought in at $10.04 and averaged up to $15. Sold some at $30 selling the rest when it hits $50

I bought when it was under 10$.

Planning to hold long term.

I have yet to sell a single investment I've bought and every single one is up.

I feel like if I sell ima jinx myself lol

Really wish I wouldn't have sold out on my position in SEDG. I had a cost basis around $90. Damn thing's over $300.

Such is the nature of owning a stock. The greatest miss I will ever have is once owning Netflix before it truly exploded.. I owned it back in 2009 and sold it in early 2010... Didn't hang out long enough what so ever.

Every single time I make cash I'm like, ****, I knew I should've bought more. Like NKLA. I was gonna drop some more cash on it, but it was just a little too high, then it explodes in like 1-2 days, and I'm like, sonofabitch, I could've made close to 20K. I still walked out with a really good gain, but fighting myself over what really amounted to nickels and dimes cost me thousands in profit.

Even if I kept Netflix, I likely would have sold it before its true big run up, because I sold all my stocks in 2013 to put a down payment on a house. Majority of my profits were in a 3D Printer stock that did gain another 40 points after I sold it before crashing hard towards the end of 2014, so was good I got out of that one.

I really haven't owned stocks since.. mostly just in index funds now. I think the only individual stock I own is a gold stock which I'm using more as a hedge.

US Concrete up over 8% today. That’s just the start of a bump that’s coming it’s way. Once biden gets in, I could see an infrastructure bill being one of the early ones. It’s one of the few things both sides will agree on

Collectively yes, but McConnell doesn't.

has he said he doesn’t support any infrastructure proposals period? I’m unaware one way or the other. And technically they don’t NEED McConnell’s vote to make it happen

McConnell has been pretty clear that he doesn't support doing a lone infrastructure bill. He has allowed infrastructure to be in other funding bills.

Technically they don't need him at all, but they constantly allow him to set agenda. Even if 20-30 GOP Senators were to support a bill, the moment McConnell says no, they're out.

We will see though, maybe things change.

I do kinda think on a very few things, enough GOP senators will feel pressure from their constituents to go along. Like you said, we will see. I may being naive a bit. I think we may see things calm down slightly politically now that it’s boring joe Biden in office

@MDB111™ went ahead and nabbed a solid position in PSTH after doing a lil more research on it. I think you’re right, it’ll moon over the next year

@Ares Bitcoin 27K now. Getting excited over there? Holding long term still?

Hodling for now.... this run is making it very hard for me to not sell anything.

I am mulling over selling some that I've had for 12+ months to get the tax-free gains before the year ends.

But part of my brane keeps screaming it could run like it did in 2017 and if it does, this is just the beginning.

yeah, it’s hard holding...but, like you said...if it has a run like 2017/18, this thing will hit 50K by spring/summer
