Opinion on NIO?

Plus my daughter is getting all excited because a group of people that she works with are big on options trading. I have no idea how it works. Is it risky or sensible trading?

Nio is supposedly the Chinese tesla fwiw
Quite literally the Chinese Tesla. They have a battery swap service that makes them very different in the sector. Price Target at 100.00.

Right now the Canadian stocks are more volatile while the MSO's are more stable. Part of that is because the MSO's are not traded on a US exchange (they're on the OTC market). They're still more volatile than many other stocks obviously, but this was a good little dip on Thursday for entry in my opinion.

As with anything, shit can always hit the fan, especially since all these weed stocks have had a great run in 2020 and thus far into 2021, so hard to say if it'll hit a bump or not.

A lot of the rise right now is on the expectation that the US is going to legalize under Biden and a Democratic Congress. If that doesn't happen, I could see these stocks crashing.

Though, states will continue to legalize, and Democrats could do a smaller part that would help these companies a lot, and that is legalize banking for them.

This is just my two cents on the topic. I'm sure others here are more knowledgeable than me.

I talked to a friend who is a staffer for a rep in DC and he said the decrim bill passed by the house is bullshit

It was just a token bill and did nothing to address the actual complexities of legalizing weed (ie regulation, enforcement, border control, international trade regs, conflicts with state law, taxation, what to do with all the people in fed custody for weed offenses, etc...)

He said weed will prob be rescheduled, maybe decriminalized, but feds prob will not legalize

just idk, what I am hearing from one DC staffer

oh also, I am interested in going long on TCNNF cause recreational weed is gaining momentum in florida, will prob be on the ballot in 2022. But it's tough to predict if it will pass. Florida is so insane.

But in the meantime, TCNNF actually turns a profit despite rapid expansion

LOL i most likely will not be a buyer but i know people who are big believers. I saw Carcillo talking about it. Rogan has talked about it many times and recently Dana White i think said he'd recommend fighters take it or something along those lines.
I dunno about Dana White but I'd do shrooms with Vanna White my friend!

the big key is having it rescheduled to allow federal banking. The regulations, taxation, etc can be handled at the state level like it already is in states that have legalized.

and it’s Florida, they will def vote to legalize recreational. Florida man already runs around eating faces while on bath salts

about FLA, what you say makes sense, but there is a bizarre conservative streak in that state despite the party vibe that makes shit unpredictable

I have some noob questions

can you buy stock over the weekend? how does that even work? do you just like reserve a trade and then it goes through once the markets open?

also, I am about to take a big position (for me) in IIPR mostly because I am looking for safer, modest gains over maybe 3-4 months and my money is just sitting in a savings account. But there are all kinds of shit I can buy (I am using Fidelity). Market Order, Limit Order, Stop Loss, Stop Limit... etc

and then there are options. and reddit seems to really like options over actual stock, but I don't even know what the **** that means...
