we started out strong then Jimmy/Gasol started to slow down we started sliding down to earth before the back end of January

offense is certainly better than years past but im not sold on it it being championship caliber especially now that we don't play elite defense

here some reason on why im not sold on the offesne:

-we have one consistent shooter...this day & age spacing/3 point shooting is a big thing and we don't have that

-we have players like Hinrich/Noah being main rotation players...when these guy are on the floor its 4 on 5 basketball

-our main offensive pieces like to play in the same space...Rose/Jimmy/Gasol all like to score in the mid to rim area
I only agree on 1 of your points, and partially agree to an extent on your last point, which is yes they like to play there, but Rose and Jimmy can also be outside threats.

Your first point I disagree with completely. We have plenty of 3 point shooters on this team, abet theyre all not Kyle Korver, which the NBA 2k in you may desire.... Dunleavy, Niko, Brooks are for sure threats from 3 point land. Snell has been hitting lately..and if he keeps that up, he's a threat. Rose can hit them, as can Butler. Kirk could too until he died. Even Gasol can hit a three here and there, but I'd never rely on that.

I do agree with the bit about Hinrich/Noah. Main reason I'd like to see Hinrich fall out of the rotation or only get backup PG minutes.

In case you didn't see it in the Around the NBA thread, Dragic is a member of the Miami Heat now.

Brooks slipped my mind

Nikola has been up & down and as i said im not sold on Snell yet

but if they get/stay consistent from 3 i'll revise my opinion

i knew Pat would get Dragic

2 first round picks is steep for a UFA tho...i guess he got the wink from Dragic that he'd resign

Probably. Also what years are those 1st round picks?

Miami's plan is to sign all the Top FA's in 2016.

Riley's plan. I'm sure he'll try to get LeBron to come back.

Well Lebron did go from "We're not very good at anything" to "We're championship contenders" in the span of one month. If they struggle to finish out the season, his mind could easily change again. I'm always weary of people who have big "Loyalty" tattoos. They usually turn out to be some of the most disloyal people you'll ever meet haha.

LeBron will go wherever he feels he can win every single season. With these trades made this season, LeBron is now happy. What I don't know is how he will react if they don't make the Finals this year. He can opt out if he wants to. I don't feel like that is his game though. Regardless of what happens I see him back in Cleveland next year. I do think if they don't win in 2016, he will leave and sign a godly amount of money elsewhere as the NBA salary cap suddenly raises... He will obviously get the most money from Cleveland though, so there is that angle.

Agreed but honestly if he leaves Cleveland again, his house will be burned to the ground. That's a fact. On top of that, his legacy could be completely ruined beyond repair I think as he'd be exposed as an unloyal, hypocirte piece of shit.

Well he is an unloyal hypocritical piece of shit lol.

LeBron only went back to Cleveland because

1) They had a bunch of #1 picks and he saw that they might have a future. Though immediately he knew he was going to trade those assets to acquire a for sure All-Star.

2) He had his image damaged by leaving Cleveland, and he felt going back would be a great story. He either thought that or his team convinced him of that.

When he first arrived he said he was going to be patient, he was going to develop the team. He did not expect to win this year. That has turned into a load of bullshit. He wasn't patient at all. The Love trade was the first move, and then these two mid-season trades were the next draw. Kudo's to them for making the moves and having them actually work out so far, but it will be a wonder if they actually work out this season. I still lean towards it not, but most of that is just my bias talking. I thought in 2010-11 that Boston would easily take care of that Miami team. Boy was I wrong then.

Oh believe me I know this haha. However, the majority of NBA fans (and ridiculously desperate Cavs fans) viewed him going back as this amazing redemption & have completely forgiven him for being a monumental douche pre-Decision (blatantly giving up & tanking during the Celtics series in the playoffs that year) & post-Decision (countless comments from him about being from AKRON and not CLEVELAND, yep he's loyal alright).

When he wrote that letter last off season, I was LOLing the entire time I read it. For one, Lebron could never write anything close to that. His contribution was likely only "I'm going back home to Cleveland." And two, I knew right away that it was pure, unadulterated bullshit. When has Lebron ever been patient? When has Lebron ever been a leader & a teacher on the court? His idea of "teaching" was glaring or screaming at Mario Chalmers whenever he did something he didn't like. He's done the same thing to Waiters & Love this year. Hell he even called Love out on twitter then tried to spin it as some "general talk" on life. LOL.

The funniest thing I've seen him do this year, and something I posted about that brought out our resident Lebron apologist, was calling our matchup before the All-Star break a "trap game." AAAAHHHHAHAHAHAHA!!! First of all, that's not even proper use of that term since we aren't a shit team & only Lebron & Kyrie were playing in the "more important" All-Star game that weekend. But secondly, he's telling all of the young guys on the bench it's ok to not compete against a division rival and possible playoff opponent in an important game. Yep, teaching the young guys how to be a champion. That's how it's done the Lebron way.

However, I do still feel the Cavs are a legit threat to come out of the East, but I like our chances a lot better against them than I did any of those Heat teams.

I couldn't agree more and pretty much said the same thing myself.

I think (healthy) the 2007-2011 Celtics' team was better than Miami or Chicago healthy. That team was just way too good when all the pieces were there to not make the Finals. Even in 2012, they still held a 3-2 lead over the eventual champion Miami Heat.

Either AFfalo or Dragic would have made the Bulls the champion of the East. Easily. This was a big time failure to launch. ANd for what? A mid round draft pick?
