The Bulls started the year 22-9... Then struggled to 30-20 before the win streak as they had a variety of injuries (mainly Dunleavy). Now they're on a 4 game win streak. If they go back to sucking against Detroit then lose a bunch of games on this home stretch, you may have a point. Right now though they are 100% healthy.

i think they have been mediocre all year except a 6 game win streak earlier this year

you can check my post history ive been saying this team was mediocre and needed a upgrade on the wing long before the rough patch

i don't think McDermott is gonna be a contributor this year, im not sold on Snell quite yet and Dunleavy is a back up

They won 13 of 15 at one point and had a 7 game winning streak..

And even I'll say they haven't really looked great most of the season. I always said it came down to how they were looking late January and on... They didnt finish January out well, but did close out before the break well.

A trade I don't think was necessary unless guys were out for the season (like Dunleavy)

Fun fact: Only 2 NBA Champions in the last 25 years have made a midseason trade. Both were heavy underdogs in those Finals too... The 2004 Pistons and 95 Rockets.

It did nothing of the sort. I have ALWAYS had optimism regarding this team WELL before the season even started. And as Scoot pointed out, the facts are in our favor. When this team has been healthy this year, they've lost 3 games. That's it. I've stated countless times why there have been struggles to build consistency and continuity (new players, constant injuries, & little practice time). I've preached patience the entire season while maintaining that optimism.

All season you've complained about minutes, rotations, FO not making moves, and yada yada yada, while dismissing evidence that is right in front of your face. This team is in the top 10 in offense & outside of defensive rebounding, is a top 10 defense. You've been acting like we're the Miami Heat or the Brooklyn Nets all year. :smh:

You're the optimist, he's the pessimist. Though he's much kinder than some of the other pessimistic here.

For me, I'm not convinced this team can go to the Finals.. yet. There's still plenty of season to play though. A great finish would convince me this team will go far. It'll be interesting to see how the Cavs continue to mesh too.

They have been Top 10 all year minus the back end of their struggles in late January.

Yeah, they also had a pretty good streak of 100+ point games. It's the defense that has been ranked in the bottom 3rd this year.

Not true. The defense has hovered between 9-12th in efficiency all year. In terms of FG defense, the team has been around the top 5 all sesaon. It's defensive rebounds that have been the achilles heel. That is were the team is ranked in the bottom of the league.

Probably has something to do with the fact that the Bulls are 19th in offensive FG%.

the offense is certainly better than years past but im not sold on it being championship caliber especially now that we don't play elite defense

heres some reasons on why im not sold on the offense:

-we have one consistent shooter...this day & age spacing/3 point shooting is a big thing and we don't have that

-we have players like Hinrich/Noah being main rotation players...when these guy are on the floor its 4 on 5 basketball

-our main offensive pieces like to operate in the same space...Rose/Jimmy/Gasol all like to score in the mid to rim area which doesn't give the offense much versatility

I was just going off what I remember some media saying as I haven't looked at team stats. :dunno:
