the worst fucking team in the history of the NFL, the 2009 Lions went 0-16. In three years they were 10-6 and at least respectable. This fucking narrative that it takes longer than three years to make real progress in the win/loss column has to stop by the Pace fucktards. Another sub 500 year and Pace will have managed to under perform the Lions....bravo!

They also had M.Stafford and Megatron which maybe you don't pay enough attention but having a good QB and great WR helps and if you haven't noticed......we had J.Cutler and a WR in AJ that couldn't stay on the field. Kinda a big difference from Stafford and CJ to Cutler and AJ. Pace will get the right QB when he finds him and he's there to get and we will have an actual team to put that QB on to build with and when we get that QB the team will come together and maybe then you and others will be able to see the future.

You're so blinded with hate for R.Pace that you just refuse to open your eyes and see the reality of what he's doing is the right thing for this team and is what has been needed to be done with this team for many many years. Fans have been screaming for a true rebuild for ever and now you're getting it and don't wanna wait for it to be done the right way. Unfortunately for you and the others that don't wanna wait.....there's absolutely nothing you guys can do about it but whine and cry and bitch on a message board while Pace keeps doing his rebuild. Stand behind your GM damn it. See the light at the end of the tunnel cause you just might be a very happy fan when this rebuild is done and we have a team that's ready to compete for many years.

Pace's 2015 draft, save for Goldman and his 2015 FA period were a waste of a year in a rebuild. Pace did far better in 2016 in both accounts. This offseason has been a complete head scratcher for most who follow the NFL. I think Pace feels he's on a 15 year plan to rebuild. Bears fans won't be that patient, nor should they be. There are teams that go from worst to first in the NFL practically every year. I don't see how we are not a last place team yet again which would give Pace a perfect 3 for 3 record to start his GM career in regard to having a last place team.

Which ones do you see as VERY shaky?
A.Hicks
D.Trevathon
J.Freeman
Q.Demps
J.Sitton
B.Massie--bad 1st half and good 2nd half of season
C.Meredith--UDFA
P.McPhee
D.Simms
M.Cooper
P.Amukamara--1 year deal
M.Wheaton--1 year deal
M.Sanchez--1 year deal
B.Cunningham--1 year deal and is just what we need behind Howard and for KR duties
K.Wright--1 year deal
J.Jenkins--1 year deal
M.Glennon--can get out of contract after 1 year
T.Compton--much needed swing tackle on 1 year deal
E.Royal--ended up a bad deal because of injuries but that's not on Pace
A.Rolle--bad signing

That's all i can think of right now but can't seem to find the VERY shaky signings?

Well you listed them.

ROLLE
ROYAL....

BOTH GOT BIG BUCKS FOR NOTHING.

McPhee? You serious. So far we got like 7 good games out of him. Now I juries aren't Pace's fault...but it's a mark against him anyway.

Trevathan is a huge question mark now.

Massive was never "good". Adequate at best. Not worth the money.

And this year's FA class, outside of Dion Sims, is a friggin overpaid debacle.

But it's not just his signings.

As much credit I give him for some of the picks he's made, I also hate him.for the picks he hasn't made.

Namely a QB in the last 2 years.

Pathetic and inexcusable. And most of all lack of imagination. He didn't play out the scenario in his head that maybe, just MAYBE (lol) Cutler wouldntlt work out and be gone after the guaranteed money was out. Nope...he didn't plan for it, and was left scrambling at the last minute to OVERpay for Mike Glennon and pull Sanchez off the scrap heap.

This Pace kid is in over his head and needs to go.

2015 was a tear down year for Pace and he had to use Emery's scouting team for his first ever draft.

And hey, let's not stop at that "magical" 10-6 season for DET. After that 0-16 season, they Hire Jim Schwartz and go 2-14, 6-10, then 10-6 and in the playoffs, and then fizzle out to go 4-12 and 7-9. Then Schwartz gets shitcanned and they hire a new and better coach. For all that "turnaround" that the Lions had, they didnt build a consistent winner. They just had everything fall into place for one year. So why exactly are we using the Lions as a comparison?

Stafford is obviously not the Qb to take them to the next level ( he had Megatron and failed)

2015 was Pace being in charge and having a terrible draft and FA period. Accountability is huge in life. Pace is accountable and was paid very well to do his job. 2015 was a complete waste of a year in a rebuild when he had the 7th pick in the draft.

Cool, after they went 0-16, they drafted a QB. You're really making ncogneto's point for him.

You really are in mad love with Ryan Cheap$kate Pace, it's pathetically obvious. Good to see you'll be going down with the ship after this all goes South.

What good would it do Ryan Pace to be a "cheapskate?" Think about that....it's not his money. It's not like he gets to take home all the money they don't spend. He's not spending in free agency because he doesn't believe that's the best way to build a team. He doesn't feel this team is close to contending, so why would you spend top of the market money on guys when it still won't turn around the team and get you over the top? Why would you spend top of the market dollars on secondary players when your team doesn't even have a franchise QB and the draft is LOADED at CB/S. You need a foundation first....and you don't build that foundation through free agency. You could disagree with the strategy all you want, but it has nothing to do with being cheap.

3-13 (it's not working, could it not be anymore obvious?).

It will work. Went from the oldest to (one of the) youngest team in 2 seasons. Had absolutely zero talent on defense when he took over. He's completely stripping this thing down to the foundation, re-framing everything, putting it new plumbing, electric, and appliances. With that, comes a lot of debris, a lot of cleanup, a lot of eye sores, and a lot of work. But once its done, you're in an infinitely better situation. Sorry it hasn't worked out the way you wanted it to in 2 seasons, but he's doing this thing the right way and shortsighted, instant gratification type people will never understand that.

It's Sweaty Teddy the Puppet Master that's pulling the strings, Pacey boy is being a good little soldier.

This is a stupid characterization. Pace has spent the money every year he's been here. He's spending it again this offseason.

A more accurate complaint would be HOW Pace has spent the money. (That we might agree on)

And you know this....how? Considering the McCaskey's have always spent money....they just spent it foolishly. I don't think it's a coincidence they brought in a more conscientious GM who believes in building through the draft.

He's spending money on camp fodder, not on players that can make an impact.

Because he mentioned how Pace spent a decade watching free agents blow...that HE helped scout.

But since he's taken the Bears job, he's shown himself to be a pretty good judge of college talent.

But his free agency resume with Chicago is VERY shaky.
That's quite the conclusion drawn
