That is predicated on one of the Conn Smythe winners playing like Toews and not Arkhipov, & the 2-time Norris winner playing like Keith and not Quint.

If the 'hawks show up like they did in the final 2 periods of Game 6 v Nashville, & game 6 and 7 v Anaheim, they should win--dare I say handily. If they show up like Game 1, 2, 5, period 1 of game 6 v. Nashville, Period 2 game 1 against the wild, or game 5 v Anaheim, we're gonna get creamed. IMHO that's the key.

If we get those hawks it doesnt matter that team is unbeatable in a 7 game series. However if we get the lifeless hawks we got most of the playoffs well flip a coin on the winner. FUCKING DESPISE when the hawks play that way, pisses me off to no end.

The one thing I've been ready that concerns me is the Bolts are similar to the 2009-10 hawks (as in hungry) however that hawks team was a team of destiny and was crazy stacked. The Bolts, well they play in the shitty east.

That Hawks team had Andrew Ladd and the non-awful version of Kris Versteeg on its third line. I don't think Tampa has that kind of depth.

Stop thinking about it. :)

The Hawks bring so much more offensively than MTL, Det, and NY without Zuccarello and with a version of MSL that looks like he hit a wall. I don't think Tampa is going to know what hit them.

Of course, I said the Hawks would beat the Ducks in 5, so....

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Even though it's a possibility I'm less concerned with the Bolts being definitively better playing at their best than the 'hawks are playing at their best.

I'm worried about the 'hawks playing their best. To use a microcosm that represents the whole team: We need Keith the play like Game 6 Keith, not Game 5 Keith. The fact that we've seen Game 5 Keith more than once in the playoffs worries me that Game 5 Keith will show up. Game 6 Keith should give Tampa fits. Game 5 Keith will be exposed and vulnerable like a man getting a prostate exam.

Again, the Game 5/Game 6 Keith is a microcosm that represents the full team, not just Keith.

Sure but no one really knew what we had in them until after that season. At the beginning of the year a lot of the NHL probably didn't even know who they were, figuratively of course. It's easy to look back in hindsight and see how great our depth was but during those playoffs we weren't having the conversations that we had more depth than our opponents at the time. Man I loved that damn team.
