Diamondbacks no longer in mix for Tanaka
According to Steve Gilbert of MLB.com, the Diamondbacks are no longer in the running for Masahiro Tanaka.
It's unclear whether this means that Tanaka has decided on a team. The 25-year-old has until Friday at 5 p.m. ET to finalize an agreement, with teams like the Yankees, Dodgers, Cubs, White Sox, Mariners, Blue Jays, and Astros among the interested teams. Some estimate that he will receive a contract in the range of six years and $120 million.

Tanaka was the only one they were going for because of his age, and no draft pick loss.

No need to sign Garza, Jimenez, etc, and lose a draft pick.

They have two aces, just signed Ellsbury AND Beltran. Teams have won championships with less. It's a .5 Billion dollar roster for fucksake!
