I think @Toast88 already laid out this timeline last year regarding the suspicious hiring of Flus and how quickly it happened without much in the terms of interviews with Flus & other coaches.

I’ve always said while I’m willing to wait and see, the overwhelming likelihood is that Eberflus and Poles will end up as just the latest crappy coach and GM for a franchise that has seen plenty of those. Still to this day, I’ve seen nothing to indicate either one is anything special, especially Eberflus.

As for the timeline, yes, below is how it all went down, according to the Bears and beat reporters:

Jan. 17 - Eberflus first interview

Jan. 19 - Bears set second interview with Eberflus for Jan. 24

Jan. 21 - Poles first interview

Jan. 23 - Bears push back Eberflus’ second interview to Jan. 26

Jan. 25 - Poles second interview, hired as GM.

Jan. 26 - Eberflus second interview

Jan. 27 - Eberflus hired as head coach
