Only 110k? Your slacking.

If I wasn't in school at night, or married, or SANE, maybe I could get a second job. But I think I'm okay with this for now. Especially since I'm in a supervisory role and not an actual managerial one.

I owe the Canadian gov. 6 bucks.

I am not filling it. If they want to audit me or come after me for 6 bucks then it shows what sort of Revenue agency and government we have in office here. I made 200 bucks more this year than last (no other differences). Last year I got a small return around 300 bucks. Just goes to show

I knew I would be bad about putting shit aside for taxes, so the short time I was on it about 4 years ago - I just had the state take it out automatically and was glad I did.

I told them to deduct the taxes then found out they never had. Good times. The lady at the unemployment office flat out told me I'd be way better off if I got knocked up. She might be onto something..

I highly recommend everyone watch a piece on taxes in the U.S. on CBS's Sunday Morning tv show airing right now (4/17/2011). If you think we are paying too much in federal income taxes now, then you would have hated living between the civil war and WWII. Another big point they made was that the tax code right now is at 70,000 pages. Yep that's seventy thousand...not a typo. Think it's a bit complicated and full of loopholes?

W...T...F?

And the accountant lobby wants to keep it that way.

No complicated tax codes and a lot of accountants would be out of work.

Unemployment office? I did everything online. Then had a quick phone call with them to confirm the stuff.

lol! We don't give ourselves aid so shouldn't we not be in the equation. Very interesting none the less.

Maybe not directly, but I bet billions of those dollars are spend on the distribution of the programs for the foreign aid, and I bet a lot of it is give to US companies to do the work in the foreign companies. SO while the money is being spent to better the foreign country I would imagine it's being funneled through US entities.

I got nice cake back, but I think it was from like paying interest on a mortgage or some crap. I dunno, HR Block tells me to put in a number and I put in a number. It spits out a number, I buy something and I am done.

Always remember that prior to the 16th Amendment, government only taxed when it related to protecting our lives, rights and/or property. It would be enacted and repealed, many times as an average of 3% of a salary, richer paying more, etc. 3%. My federal alone was 28%.

Certainly not my intention to spark debate, but maybe if the government would limit themselves to the above duties, we wouldnt watch tax dollars spent on government programs to fund the dangers of tobacco while subsidizing tobacco farmers.

Ok, I'm done.

68% of households making $50,000 and less pay no federal income tax and 45% of ALL households pay nothing.
