According to this article, TT is going to get a shot at center between Shaw and Bickell. Moves Shaw to the wing, where he likely should be, and is going to give TT a shot to prove his worth at center. Should be interesting Sunday night, the Stars have some quality C's that he may be matched up against at some point in the night.

Well those two need all the help they can get. Good luck though if that's true.

According to twitter folks, After a short time in practice on the 3rd line, Kruger and Tuevo swapped spots. Already being demoted to the 4th, Q hates rookies.

I'm curious why they're calling up the kid to play center, when we have four rolling centers right now.

Even more curious why they're putting Kruger to 4th line wing, when he's been 4th line C for three years now.

Kruger is moving up to center Shaw and Bickell, with TT centering... you guessed it... Nordstom...and Smith. Typical Q... So TT will play 6 minutes a night and then get sent to the pressbox for not producing. Kind of like every other offensively talented rookie to come through the system in the last two years. Except Saad, who Q never had a chance to treat that way, because he came into the NHL as a complete player.

I'm also not sure why that "Q hates rookies" above was in green. He handles rookies worse than pretty much any coach in the NHL. He may not hate them, but he certainly doesn't instill any confidence in them when they get called up. They hardly play at all, and the first mistake they make finds their ass glued to the bench.

It makes too much sense to slot him in with Bickell and Shaw, who could both use an offensive spark. TT is a pass first guy too, and should create space for a couple guys that are incapable of creating their own... It would be a perfect fit right now, with Sharp bumping back up into the top six.

I mean, who in their right mind expects TT to come in and play a defensive role with Smith and Nordstrom? The square pegging of prospects into round holes continues...

Kruger with Shaw and Bickell? That line is going to be even worse than it has been offensively. If that's possible? It's just madness.

P.S. Shaw is not a center. He has been playing there for a couple seasons, but he is far from an ideal fit at center. If he's not bumped out of center by TT, he should certainly be bumped out by Danault, who should get every chance to play on this team next season.

I've been more than happy with Shaw as the third line center (at least until Danault is ready) It was putting him as second line center that made my blood boil.

There is a method to his madness. Make these rookies earn that spot. Keep them on their toes. Giving a rookie a spot instead of him earning it can lower his ceiling. They have to compete and know bad play will get them sent back down......

OT but look what happened to Cutler when he felt like he'd never lose his spot....... Got worse instead of better

if you want to talk about football, go to one of the football threads. It's apples and oranges.

but to use a football analogy, if that helps you understand, putting TT into a defensive shutdown role would be like having Cutler play wide receiver.

If he would be playing with Bickell and Shaw at his wings, believe me, he'd be working to earn his spot. That's no handout trying to help those two guys and create somewhat of a viable offensive threat on that line.

Shaw has been a black hole of possession on that line. He really needs to be slotted back at wing.

Thought TT was a tentative last night. Looked lost a few times, but liked that he was defensively responsible. He will have a careers worth of better games

He ran right into Kaner while Kane was carrying the puck through the neutral zone.... I like TT but he does appear to need to do some adjusting to playing with the Hawks top 6 when he gets out there with them.

Gotta wonder if TT is used to being the top dog on the ice so putting him with Kaner might be weird for him.... Versteeg has always been second fiddle to Kane.
