Yea the face off thing really bugged me tonight, He tossed Toews at least 6 times. At one point Legwand was fucking around right in front of us. The linesman dropping the puck bitched directly at Legwand then the OTHER linesman came in and threw JT out of the circle.

The crew tonight once again just flat out sucked. At one point it was 6-1 in PP's with them calling a penalty right as our ONE PP had started. The holding on Toews to start the fucking game was bullshit The boarding on Brouwer? Are you kidding me?? Boarding??? What the **** is this a no hit league? Boulion turned, looked at Brouwer coming and turned his back on him. **** that....

On their third goal off the face off notice the PICK they set? Last I checked that was fucking interference. They must have set 5-6 clear picks tonight at NONE were fucking called.

Shouldn't be surprised it was Jovanet and he sucks.

After the game in Nashville a small group of us went back to the hotel bar for a night cap. The officials for the night came in to get some food to go. We asked if they were the officiating crew and they denied it....until I brought up their pictures from the NHL OFFICIALS page: http://www.nhlofficials.com/member_listing.asp. Nashville was getting away with the picks the night before and we were looking for "clarification" of the interference rule. Auger, while polite, just really did not answer.

Auger is one of the worst. He and Peel are the officials the other officials do not like.

Tonight was completely one sided. I'm not saying some of those weren't legit calls but the Preds were taking penalties left and right and they were not being called.

Sharp being tripped was a CLEAR penalty shot. No question.

Shampoo was the linesman in Nashville, he's not good. At least where the Hawks are concerned. Auger is the ref Burrows called out and was fined. Because god forbid you "question" the almight official who has absolutely NO ONE to answer too for bad games. They say they watch the replays after the game but I completely call bullshit. NO WAY are they in that locker room long enough to go over tapes after the games. I watch it first hand.

Good racket if you can get a job I guess. You don't even have to be efficient. I blasted Joanette between periods big time tonight. Call the fucking game even or DON'T make the calls. Why RUIN the game?? I happened to be out there when he walked out of the locker room. If looks could kill....

Ron, I don't give a flying fart whether they score against Turco on the PP or not -- that doesn't give Turco a pass on shitty goaltending basics. He gives up a juicy rebound on the first one and lets Suter grab it from him. Then he overplays the first shot on the second goal leaving a wide open net off the rebound. Third goal was a laser, but still on his glove side where he should have had a chance. I say two bad goals out of the three. And Crow isn't immune to the shits in the net either, but he is a LOT more consistent then Turco and bails us out a LOT more...

Sorry you are being just a tad two critical. But he what ever floats your boat. Turco was fine last night. None of the goals were "his" rebounds FYI.

First one was a rebound off Cambell, Second was not a rebound, and the third off the face off was not either. Crawford gave up a goal the other night off the face off too. I do believe Crawford is the more consistent goalie right now but won't slam Turco for absolutely no reason.

Not to mention he's rusty. He hasn't had a lot of time to get consistent. One game here and there does that to a goalie.

First goal was a rebound that Turco SHOULD have grabbed and didn't letting Suter grab it, drop it, and swat it into an open net. I know the second was not a rebound; it was a blocked shot and I didn't state that correctly. But he still overplayed the first shot moving to far to his right and leaving a wide open net. At least we agree on the consistency factor....

If nothing else... Turco's mere veteran presence and willing to do WHATEVER for this team to win while mentoring a young netminder solidifies his spot on this team.

His willingness to mentor Crawford and sit for long stretches speaks volume of his character. He may be a shell of his former self but he is a steal at the price we got him for to be the back up.

So one out of three goals was bad with a goalie that hadn't played in two weeks and you slam him.

Dude they won the fucking game....!

Wow Lindbeck has an AWESOME record and gave up 6 goals. I wonder what the Pred fans are saying about him....

RK...people need things to ***** about in hopes that the Hawks don't make the playoffs, so they can "be right" and say I told you so. But now, that things are clicking..5-1-1 in their last 7....some need to complain about the type of goals scored. Because all goals scored must be incredible shots, or the goalie sucks.

All year (I know I was one)...that said the Hawks will be fine, once they hit their stride, get some team chemistry, define their roles...and finally being healthy.

Their biggest issue is their inability to hold on to leads/win games in the 3rd period.

Saturday was a perfect example.

If they'd have finished better up to this point, they'd be fighting for the conference lead, as opposed to just fighting for a playoff spot.

Their penalty killing has been embarrassing, and if that's not going to improve, they need to stay away from dumb penalties, which they had way too many of yesterday.

Very good post, StuG. I know I'm one of those around here that is seen as the eternal optimist, but I think it is very fortunate that the Hawks have this advantage in their goalie tandem.

failing to remember Turcos unfucking real save off of Seabs stick. Not Seabs fault he almost scored on his own guy as he had a busy stick going. But that was a hell of a reaction and reflect save by Turco. So before critiquing the little rebounds he gave up (and **** me dry every goalie in the league gives up a couple rebounds a game) maybe remember that save off of Seabs, Could have been the save of the game.

If I were any other team in the NHL hoping to make the playoffs the Hawks are most definitely one of those teams I'd hate to face. Home ice or no home ice.

They need to come out after this break making a statement. The division is still not out of question by any means.

Even last year...Hawks won 8 both on road and home

For a team thats "played bad, with no heart, etc"...to be in 5th - right in the middle of the pack, and now, finally healthy...I wouldnt want to either.

This year, though, I dont think Scooter can sit at the deadline (or prior). I do think they need a #5 dman...and 1 more grit forward for the top 3 lines.
