My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I would just like to point out that right now we are at the bottom of the Central Division.

So, I can understand if anyone else right now is as positive as Greg Luganis.

So what you are saying is that you are positive?

That trick where Bolland blocked the tying goal. Why do i get the feeling that Bolland learned that from Boynton?

-5Minutes

Lets not forget Seabrooks shithead plays where Kopecky blocked a shot...and Crawford's great save. Or Hendry's inability to clear the puck that lead to the first goal....

This team is in dire need of a 2nd line center - one that can produce offensively. Not just now, when Toews is out...but even more when he is there.

I think Sharp has filled in very well...but is much better at wing. Bolland is not the answer and is a third line center - at very best - and definately not worth the 3.375mil per year (and not sure he's worth the paper the contract was written on).

I'm really going to be curious to what they're going to do with the Dgroup coming up - especially Seabrook's contract. He's definately worth 5mil (maybe more) but with Leddy, possibly Lalonde and now Olsen signed...one of those 3 should be a top 4 in the future. I think the Hawks are going to have to move one of the current top 4. Keith, I think is the "cornerstone" of the group and Campbell's contract makes him nearly impossible to trade.

I wonder if they'll move either Seabrook or Hjarlmarsson (and hopefully move Bolland with them) and try to get a center.

Why not try to move some of the younger kids for a center?

Because they're up against the cap, and I think the younger kids will have affordable salaries/be under team control for several years. And I dont think its smart to have a third line center making over 3mil a year.

For the record - I do not want/hope Seabrook isnt moved....I'm just going to be curious on how the top 4 dgroup unfolds for the future.

It would shock me if Seabrook was not resigned. The "kids" are no where near ready to take a full time role. Not to mention NONE of them fit the role of Seabrook. Lolonde/Leddy are more Keith type defensemen.

Again this team is full of a bunch of NON hitters. One of the biggest problems this year is physicality. IE Buff, Ladd... Seabrook is about the only consistently physical guy. Take that away they are really fucked.

I agree with you completely about Seabrook being the only physical Dman and I'd be shocked as well.

Hjarlmarsson came up rather quickly and I really think Leddy will be back after the WJC, if not right away...before the years up. I think he's looked pretty good in the tourny.

Ideally...he'd play more in the 5/6 role this year...but I still really think he's slotted for that 3/4 role in the near future.

I do think they should move Hjarlmarsson if the issue/opportunity comes to move a Dman to improve the center depth.

Amazing how pmx can continue to defend Kopecky and Boynton when they play like shit. Boynton, who was useless in our cup run, and Kopecky, who sucked most of last year, and was just a fourth liner in our cup run. Yet, he constantly rags on Bolland, who was instrumental in EVERY SINGLE playoff series we had last season, in shutting down the other team's top lines. Then again, Bolland's stats are not good at all, so I can see why that would be the case.

Ignore still shows posts where other people quote him, which is quite a few.

I am shocked Toews is playing tonight, but at the same time, I'm happy, and the team needs him. I just hope he's not rushing back like Kane did. Kane is obviously nowhere near 100%.

Kane is definitely 100% until he tweaks it one way or the other. Assuming you've played the game(lol), you've then also most likely had an upper ankle injury. It could linger all year. He didn't rush to get back, it could be the same all year. We are hoping it's not.

I'm not shocked Toews is playing because I knew it FOUR DAYS AGO when I TOLD YOU!!

And while I'm not a huge Kopecky fan Bolland has sucked ass all year. It's idiotic to suggest other wise and I'd bet you more money Bolland himself would agree.

And Kopecky is having a career year this year - on pace for 48pts - which would have put him 4th on forwards last year, ahead of Versteeg, Byfuglien, Ladd, etc...

Is part of the top PP unit in the league, best forward Hawks have in front of the net. But he sucks.

As far as Boynton sucking...I'm still waiting for someone to -

1. Show me another teams 5/6 dman with better stats than Cullimore/Boynton

2. Make a combined 1mil dollars

Philly wouldve killed to have a 5 and 6 last year in the playoffs they couldve played 10 - 12 min a gam. May have made the differnce.

And Bolland...sure...last year the team was a bit deeper, and had Madden to take every SH faceoff. (He took 239 SH faceoffs...and I'd bet most Dzone). Hawks dont have that depth this year....so yep - a guy eating up 3.375mil needs to do a tad better than what Bolland is, IMO.

But lets rag on 1 of 3 Hawks (Kopecky, Sharp and Crawford)...that are having the best years of their careers.

I don't think anyone has ragged on Sharp or Crawford.
