Strange start to the game.
Great finish to the 1st period.
Good 2nd period.
Boring 3rd period.
Carcillo was awsome tonight hitting everything that moved.
Kane maybe one of the best one timers I have seen in a long time. Never seen that power from him before. Made my jaw drop.
Hossa....healthy Hossa is a killer
Bickell/Bolland/Frolik..has great potential
Why was Toews MIA for 8 minutes in the 2nd period? Hope it was an equipment problem. He came back of course so more than likely was.
Sharp looked a little in pre-season form tonight (shouldn't be shocked by this)
Emery is fliappadee flopping like crazy. Can't really pin any goals on him other than perhaps the 4th. Got beat by deflections all night..that's the defenses responsibility. But boy does he flop and get out of position quickly. makes me nervous.
Overall a decent game. Some goals were brilliant. Defense was less than spectacular in my opinion but the offense got the job done.

It was a strange start since I had to leave my seat to give my other ticket to my guest waiting outside (who had wade through 3+ hours of traffic to get to the game), Get back to our seats and it is 2-0. Sorry, as that I am never leaving my seats, just as I am still in them now.

Ive never seen Emery play like that at all... definitely not typical Emery. I hope he corrects that...
The ice looked bouncy today as well, since the puck had a couple crazy hops on both ends of it.
Kane with Hossa didn't look too bad at all, either... Carcillo adds onto the fun. That may not be a bad line for Q to keep.

I was flipping on Emery on that third goal (after sticking up for him the first two) He was so far out of position it was a major piss off. He made two good key saves though, but still...Stay in position dammit!

Yeah, my son who is a goaltender, agrees with most here. He said Emery lost his net on that third goal. Other than that, and the typical third period letdown, I liked the game...especially like Carbomb with Hoss and Kaner. Toews played a poor game, though...

Exactly what I saw with the third goal last night too. The first two were tough goals, I think Crawford stops the first one, but I still can't blame Emery for that. We turned the puck over in our D zone way too much at the start last night until Q went postal on them in that time out.
Emery was fine last night, people are just going to have to get used to the way he plays. To me he played a good game, he gave up one less goal than we scored, and that's all I ask from the backup.
