Madden will not how ever be Canuck property.

Correct. From what I read he's going to be a Wolves contract player not a Canucks contract. Similar to Rockford and increasingly other AHL teams these days I think there's only going to be a handful+ of contracts owned by the actual team---which didn't use to be the Wolves M.O. as they largely cared about just winning as an AHL franchise period and not about being a farm development franchise.

Yes Levine was always like that. Atlanta rarely used them as a farm team unless it had too. Before that I don't think they were affiliated with anyone.

Well I see even the mention of him and disregard the entire thing.

Similar to the Committed Indian.

He does not write for the "Committed Indian" that I remember and I read every issue.

I know he doesn't.

That's the other thing I wouldn't waste my time on. TheTab! Oh boy...

I'm pretty sure Jim is talking about Sam Fels' The Committed Indian paper which he writes up for each home game and sells outside the UC or via subscription and not Tab's Committed Indians blog site.

The problem is Keith and Leddy are both the same type of defenseman. Putting them together makes no sense whatsoever. At least not to me. You always want to balance a puck mover out with a SAH guy. Keith isn't playing "his" game when paired with Leddy, and you can tell he's just not comfortable.

Yep we need a puck mover and a stay at home combo - Keith & Seabs, Leddy & Hammer.

Q's pairings make NO sense.

In case anyone is interested in an analysis of the Leddy-Keith thingy, the Blackhawk Up blog did IMO a very interesting and great fucking dissection of the tandem's goals against in today's post:

Of course, if you are a fan in the "Leddy as goat" camp, you likely won't agree, lol.

Mondrian would be proud of those diagrams, though a little more blue, please, a little more blue.

Yup. Didn't know Tab had a blog.

'Course everyone has a blog these days.

I don't read the paper, but that's just because I don't buy it. I really have no disdain for it. The other two, yea.

I get It emailed to me on game day. My wife even likes it.

I'm trying to get her to like hockey more.

Baby steps...

Liked pretty much everything I saw tonight. Not sure the Yotes are looking even close to there last two seasons, Bryz must have been much more important.

so where do we start with this game??

Overall, a good game. I thought Crow looked a little shaky before he let in the second goal, seemed to lose positioning a couple of times, which made me worry. Still love Crow though, think he's the best goalie we've had since Ed Belfour, and he is a phenominal puck mover

Goals from all four lines, I love the depth!

Montador...slowly becoming my whipping boy. Sean O'Donnel is his defense partner, and is 40, far more noticable on the ice, doing all the right things. Montador, with a cap hit of 3-4x more is not noticed except when he fires a weak wrist shot into the goalies mit 2-3 times a game.

Keith looked better, but still a costly error that gave up a goal, hopefully he continues to improve.

Carcillo...wow, he's impressing me. Wasn't as noticable last night, but who would of thought after 3 GP he would only have 2 PIM, and that was a hell of a blocked shot out there, he seems to grasp that this 1 year contract might be his last chance in the league, and is being very effective.

Dave Bolland. BEASTMODE! The guy is insane. Someone tell this guy it isn't the playoffs yet! When he went down and hit the back of his head on the ice, I stood up and was terrified. He only came back after that and scored a goal and an assist. The whole line is great. Frolik doing all the right things out there, the goals will come

Great game, what more could you want as the visiting team? Hopefully we bring that with us for the home and home with Colorado.

The ice sucked last night. Boys were losing edges all night long all over the ice. Good team effort. Good puck control most of the night. Balanced scoring. I like.
