It's been 7 games..........lets leave the crow on the grill until the 30 game mark or so.

Oh bullshit. Since the Olympics on he's been spot on playing in the Indian head. He's just continuing where he left off.

You wait till what ever game you want. Since the Olympic break he's been more than efficient on the ice.

I like the whole "Keep It Simple Stupid" type plays

Some bash him for this (amongst other things)...but I think its good he just looks for Hossa or Toews - and gets them the puck ASAP - then goes to the net for screens or rebounds. He gets the hell beat out of himself, and doesnt retaliate (like last nite). I think he pisses the other team off as well.

Nothing was worse than with either Buff or Versteeg last year, when they were with Kane - and tried doing all kinds of things with the puck - when Kane is the one you want the puck on his stick creating plays.

I disliked him last year a lot. But since the start of the season I see no reason for him not to be playing with Hossa and whomever Q designates as his 5 shift center.

Having Campbell back will in turn allow them to bring Keith and Seabrooks TOI down. Right now they are just on the too much to be consistent. THe more ice time they get the sloppier their game will become.[/quote]

I just hope these guys aren't burned out from all the icetime and hockey that was played last year. Hopefully their tanks just need a topping off, and they're not running on fumes. I haven't seen the two of them play this poorly in a few years.

Tomorrows game they have to handle Mary Kate and Ashley.

This would be a great time for both to get out of their funk.

If these guys are burned out after three weeks of extra work we have bigger issues. Campbell starts skating tomorrow, so it's a week or a little more at most.

As for the poor playing they must not be that poor both are still PLUS players.

Like the OT goal last night.

I agree. That's what Kane does unlike anyone else on this team. Or very few in the NHL as a whole.

Lots of minutes, two long seasons in a row. Extra games for the olympics. Condensed schedule last year with lots of back to backs. Not a stretch really. When I say playing poorly, I mean, playing poorly for THEIR standards. They are both still good, but nowhere near what I'm used to seeing from them.

They are double shifting, playing with different pairings, and in general being asked a lot to make up for not only Campbell being out but Hjarlmarsson for two games at the same time.

Things will settle down and again both are plus players, the team leads the Conference in points right now, which only bodes well when Campbell does return.

I think you are over critical as both had some poor games last year. TOI is a lot right now. But I do not see that hurting them down the road if Q can get them down in the next couple of weeks. Duncan had a poor game last night, while Seabrook did not. Seabrook had a poor game the other day while Duncan did not. Get them back to the role they are used to and things will be fine.

Pez...its ok to say theyre playing poorly - you wont burn in hell

The added minutes hurt, no Soupy and his 20+ minutes play and the lack of puck possession (meaning the Hawks are chasing the puck more than possessing it)..has hurt them. Hjarllmarsson misses him as well (and was out for 2 of the 7).

BC will bring a lot of stability back to the top 4 and return players to their "role"

I think the forwards are still trying to find their identities...hence the reason for Kane bumping up to try to get Toews/Brouwer going. But so far -

Kopecky - Toews - Hossa

???????? - Sharp - Kane (both Patticakes have been good)

I dont think Bickell has been consistant enough here, Pisani is a 4th liner (he and Dowell have thier role - limited 5 on 5 and very good PKers)...

So either Brouwer, Stalberg, or Skille need to start getting looks there with the Patticakes

Which leaves the other two with -

Bickell - Bolland - ????????

Pisani - Dowell - ?????????

Hahahahaha not even I am dumb enough to buy a Scott jersey.

I wish it was me... last night's game and Wednesday were the ones I tried the hardest to get after opening night was sold out, of course nothing was available. And I'm not paying $100 bucks to sit in the 300 level for a game against the Blues, that's what they wanted.
